it does 10 confirmed by the academy. and the in game damage readout.

I realize I might be in the minority in this but I'd love to have both combined arms gameplay, including infantry, and a co-op mode against NPCs. And I'd love to even have some NPCs of my own to issue orders too, more than just mechs, infantry, tanks, vtols, and the like. The MW5 games get me 90% of the way there, except there's no infantry or areospace fighters, and you're limited to a handful of friends per session. This would be the type of mechwarrior game that I've been dreaming of since the 90s if it had these things. I realize it's far fetched, since it would mean a huge amount of work to implement these things at this stage in the games life-cycle, but still I thought I'd mention it.

Back playing after four years - here's what I'd like to see (aside from the continued longevity of this game!)

More frequent sales/events - the platinum price slashing led me to spend $100-150 on mechs and premium time, whereas I would have waffled on a couple of $40 packs and never purchased anything

Mech select after map select - tired of getting stuck with brawlers on big maps and snipers on close range maps

refined UI - need to see paper doll for teammates, as well as tighter groupings on the icons of others - it's messy

Stealth armor on more than lights

Raise all mech speeds by 10-25% - slowness punishes early positioning and there is still a lot of "walking simulator" going on, even when the game is played "correctly"

More "realistic" color schemes/fauna to maps - I like fighting on Earth and Earth-like locales, and the game engine can make some genuinely pretty locales (canyon, river city, the OG forest map). Recent maps are fun but difficult to look at. I get it, this is a fantasy setting, but I like spending time in virtual deserts, forests, and ocean locales. No reason all these big smashy battles have to take place in ugly places.

The most wanted feature that I want from MWO is a game that respects its source material instead of treating it like toilet paper. It's fine to have something for folks who want to enjoy the comp scene and those who want to mess around in QP. I wish we could have Faction Rivalry Events or something of the like for the RP enjoyers of this game. I wish we could have factions that mean something instead of being glorified forum icons. Because everyday this game feels more like "MWINO (a.k.a. MechWarrior In Name Only)" instead of "Mechwarrior Online".

Removing the idea that 20+ points of damage is a fall risk completely ruins the game this was based on (battletech) where falling down was a major component of weapon, mech, and tactic selection.
Examples: Atlas was chosen for its ability to not fall over, ac20 was selected to possibly knock over an enemy mech.

This could open up skill tree abilities to overcome this but if a whole team unloads on a mech at the same time; it should fall over.
This was also the reason they came out with 4 legged mechs, etc.

In battletech there was limits on the Clan tech because they had societal rules dictating engagement. (QuickPlay)
- Clan users should have to bid tonnage off their lance to obtain preference in search for drop queue.
- Clan and IS should not be on the same team.

I don't understand the point of some of the components in the game (like the gyro) if we are not going to do their effects - like the gyro (xl/compact/etc) to prevent knockdown if knockdown is not part of the game.
How do we keep calling LRM long range if they are really a medium range weapon compared to many other weapons in the game.

Reduce Head Armor - Gauss rifles have been made useless by adding massive amounts of head armor and head structure - mine as well use whatever material they used to make clear glass have 18+ points of armor on the whole mech!

Targeting computers should apply to direct fire weapons and not gimp out gauss. that's the whole point of a targeting computer.
