PGI,

You should almost be ashamed to offer the Pretty Baby for sale at this point.

St. Ive's is a somewhat close second.

Both suffer from poor hardpoints, and for some reason did not get any quirks to allow them to utilize the limited points they have effectively. At the least, if changing the hardpoints is too hard, you could give them some notable durability quirks to make them last longer in a fight to deliver their oddball loadout's firepower.

I normally don't bash things like sales, but sticking that Pretty Baby out there to lure in some suckers feels a little crooked at this point.

Dude, look at ALL of the heroes on this sale, all of them are considered bad, meh, s***, or out done by the other hero.


for instance oxide and heavy metal may not be THAT bad... but it's worse then the Huginn and Dragon slayer.

Dragon heroes are well... all dragon that isn't the 1N is far from convieced as good.

I am currently ill now and require sleeps. I will not go into to much details here but this sale is mainly promoting the 'poor' heroes which can in turn lead to more play of it and thus more testing and data for proper buffs.

C'mon, it's PGI we're talking about, EVERY sale and event is usually as test! we're like lab rats in a maze looking for cheese, and PGI does cough up a whole lot of cheddar for us co operating.

I am thinking of buying a hero in this sale.

Centurion: I got 3 centys' one's a champion and another is loyalty. I am NOT passionate about this mech well at least now. (need to work on a build for the A and AL atm)

Cataphract: well I own the champion, I quite like it but I do not know if I am quite passionate about it, not looking at the hero as anything tooo worth it.

Dragons: I've always looked at getting these, I always liked the dragon in previous games however I am not sure which one to buy (or both... 2 for 1 if you think about full prices). However I do not own any dragons yet and not sure how it'll go, that and I do not want to cheese my way through with the 1N.

Commando: Well I am thinking about getting comandoes, getting this cheap hero from solaris VII may tickle my fancy but only if I do commit to getting the commando, I do very well in light mechs especially the locust and also well in the stock+ urbanmechs so I think I can do well in the commando

Awesome: do not own awesomes, but I always wanted too, always pushed it aside. not to sure about the hero but I do want to do awesome later on.

Cicada: Got 2 cicadas atm, they are okay, wouldn't mind a 3rd. wanted to buy the X5 earlier but changed my mind. Nearly 2 years passed. think it may suit my stuff.

Highlander: own 3 highlanders, I do enjoy them, heavy metal may be a blast, but I am in no need for it. (note: I do have the hellslinger, 2 atlas S (L)s, 2 Kingcrab (L)s,misery, and the executioner (I) and mauler ® incoming and possible gargoyle (I) if a promo for top tier 2 comes around (got hellbringer pack atm) as well as battlemaster P.

Not in a need for an assault c-bill grinder.


Jenner: got 3 jenners, kinda alright mech but not to passionate, slowly grinding them for some reason. the main issue with this fella for me is the fact it's essentually a Jenner IIC for IS, when the IIC is out for clans, I am not sure if it's worth using the oxide.


Current ones on my eyes: Flame, Fang, Deahts knell
Maybe: pretty baby, X5, Oxide, Heavy emtal.


Any ideas on which one I should get (or any at all).

I may save for a king crab hero or Clan hero as well.

You are in no position to comment about Pretty Baby when you do not own a single variant of the chassis, much less PB.
It isn't that PB is worse than other heroes. it is worse then EVERYTHING, and not by a little.

I am personally very fond of the X-5 that I bought almost 2 years ago. Fantastic brawler and a very fun mech overall.

Yes. The HMs warhorn is built into the mech, there are no warhorns installed in the cockpit. It predates the Warhorns. And, I love my Heavy Metal. Its not as much fun as it used to be back when it could actually JUMP, But it's big, and pink, and glorious <3

Also...all these people complaining that EVERY mech on sale is junk.... Obviously has never seen 3 Yen Lo Wangs kill an entire team by themselves... Myself and two other guys in my old unit used to group up on coms, run in and coordinatedly slaughter everyone

The Oxide is pretty mean, too. Almost as good as the Hugin.

You need to boost all heroes to 50% (don't really care much for the leader board because the prises are craptacular)

I'm not buying one of those turds to get an extra 20% boost for a couple of days, but I might consider buying a booster for the weekend if my other heroes were boosted by 20% too.

You are aware that you get free mechbays for every faction you level up in CW. The first comes after about 3 good CW games. So 100% off Mechbays ALL the time beats the 50% off every half year IMHO

So of the Hero mech's on sale that get the additional 20% c-bill boost I own 2, both Heavies. If you all at PGI take a look at the queue's Heavies have the most in the queue's. Which means longer wait times to play these "select" mech's with the c-bill boost.

I own at least 1 Hero of every weight class but only 2 are part of the event. Making myself and I sure many others annoyed at this event. If it had been for ALL hero mech's it would have been far better. Giving those of us who already have several hero's the option to not play the most populated mech class in the queue's.

Timbergod is really annoying on all levels, from gameplay, to balance, to queue.
