Nice page layout. It reminds me of a table of contents section in a book. This would be quite helpful for members who are playing a mechwarrior title for the first time, or for members who want to become more familiarized with what the game, forum, etc. has to offer. All i can say is who even needs a wiki? Lol, just copy and paste to a new wiki site to save wikimasters the trouble. ;P

I even PM'd the mod group suggesting that.
The other 'new player threads' are full of great info, but would take a while to trawl through. Most impatient types are just going to think "TL;DR" and post their question anyway. At least with a single .pdf primer doc like this there's a chance some will read it.
/awaits the next "Will this game have the Mad Cat?" thread.

After long months of neglect (and minimal new public information), I have posted a new version. Added the Flea, a brief section listing the maps, and a few other tidbits scattered throughout the document. Most new information over the past two months has been related to mechs and gameplay, so that's where the changes are in this edition.

....and now that the NDA has been lifted, I have got a TON of updating to do.
Because things are changing so rapidly in the beta, I will probably stick to general concepts in the new version of the Primer. No detailed information, specs, etc. For those pieces of information I will try to link out to other sources. This will instead become a newbie guide of sorts.

Hey i've been looking around for a guide on how to use the battle commander view but the closest i've come to one is this primer, i dont suppose anyone knows of a guide to using it? For what it's worth i think it would be a worthwhile addition to the primer as everyone seems to fool around with it at some point or another.
