@OP: And this is why I don't participate. You don't have to have the perfect match, you have to have 10 perfect matches. Since the tournament lasts a whole weekend, people are just playing endlessly to get the kind of matches that only happen once in a while for most people. It comes down to 50% skill and 50% willingness to just sit in your underwear a whole weekend, shooting robots and eating delivery pizza while drinking Gatorade.
"OP, if you are solo player you will almost never get to top score. The top guys usually play in groups and feed kills to one guy. Then they get like 3500 score at the end of the day."
<sigh>
I stand corrected. 33% skill, 33% willingness to waste a weekend and 33% having other friends on the internet who help you win a robot shooting contest to get that 2 dollar reward.
Well that's not true, is it? Only solo matches count for Tournaments.
I find that assumption "willingness to spend entire weekend in front of the computer" to be false as well, but I completely understand why you made that assumption. I had the same assumption too! I even tried it for a few hours. The results weren't very good.
The best matches were those when you've had a good day of activity after jogging, talking a drive and walk with the wife, after a game of frisbee, and so on. It puts your mind in a different position, you play the game happy and you focus better. You focus on the more important things instead of finding other people's flaws or how this and that could have gone better if that guy had done this. No these things will get you stressed out and you won't be able to focus and you won't be able to play well and you will be blaming people for their flaws and just get you frustrated as you prepare for the next match and looking for other players names in the Drop List that could hamper your game.
Get rested, get in a good mood. And you will be playing at the top of your game.
p/s I don't deny that someone in their underware could have got top scores too.. still.
p/s Apparently you are correct Group fights do count for points in this Tournament. In previous Tournaments only solo matches count.
