No, the post you quoted is right. The base CB model has much larger scoops than the concept art shows.

My guess is it's because of the nose. In TRO and art otherwise the nose is a solid metal structure - in MWO it's become cockpit glass.

not really o.o (Keep perspective in mind here... the model is rotated a bit less than the concept art... and you're looking down on it, where as you're looking up at it in the concept art, but it's damn near 1:1)

I would have been a happy(er) clanner if that was the (I) variant.

THAT is what i bought. It had the invasion camo/colors (advertised as (I)... like the EXE). it looked sexy. it was alex's masterpiece. It was art. The modelers destroyed it with that unique black face mask.

I'm a bit torn on that one myself... The original was perfect. I think I really like the alt geo too... But it has a completely different aesthetic. Which in itself is pretty impressive.

Out of all the other (I) mechs, the only one I can spot a mile away is the Gargoyle. If you run into an (I) CB you'll know it immediately.

I don't think the alt geo is worse, it's just VERY different. And I can certainly see why some people wouldn't like it. It threw me for a loop witb the first glance... I suspect, given time to reconciliate the disparity of what got vs what we were expecting, more people will come around to it than not.

It's the Uncanny Valley effect...

Again, the game model's side torso sections are noticeably larger. Most clearly in the width. There is a space between the torso laser's housing, and the "vent" in the ST section. In the concept art, they are basically flush - in the model, there is a fairly prominent space between them. This makes the entire ST scoop area wider. They also extend lower down than they do in the concept art..

Well, MASC was not really my concern in that pack. ( i can only hope that it can not be macro'd to mess with HSR )

But I agree with you. Full info on everything in the pack should be available from day 1. ( i actually agree with you on the "top tier sucker" too... i am weak... and i feel bad about it. :( )

The borns legs look like it's 80% of the mech...super easy target.

I'm glad I refunded but I might get the cheetah depending on how big it is.

you do realize that these mech packs are what keeps the development of the game, and the game itself in that regard, alive? No need to go name calling ether. People are entiteled to choose how they want to spend their own money
