Howell is not a Smoke Jaguar Bloodname.

I would beg to differ. The Howell bloodname is a smoke jaguar bloodname. Examples include Benjamin Howell, Rossou Howell (commander of the two defense galaxies on Huntress during operation serpent), Brandon Howell the Sakhan of the Clan after the battle of Tukayyid), and several others. The book Exodus Road described a grand melee in which the main character Star Captain Trent participated for the chance at the Howell bloodname.

Perhaps i could be mistaken tho. (i believe the name was included in clan snow raven first? Then went to the jags??)

I played MW3 & heard of Maya Howell IIRC , however Historical: Operation Klondike lists it, as you mention, as Snow Raven.

I did not see where the Jags won the rights to it, but I suppose it is possible, especially as Howell is not exclusive.

Hmm you are right about it being listed in the sourcebook as Originally belonging to Clan snow raven. I suppose Smoke Jaguar won the rights to use the name somewhere in the timeline. Its possible just like Jaroth said since its a non-exclusive bloodname. Although I wonder where in the timeline the bloodname would have been Incorporated into the clan?

No idea. It intrigues me though, that someone with a name like that, would get so far as saKhan, when usually it is either a Osis, Showers, Furey or a Moon. I mean the Bloodname is not even a Smoke Jaguar original. They must have discovered Howell produces damned good warriors.

Actually he went further than Brandon Howell became the Khan of smoke jaguar when it was thought Lincoln Osis was dead during the battle of Tukkayid. However when Osis was found alive he step down and went back to being the sakhan of the clan until his death on huntress to Victor Davions forces. So it is an intriguing case.

Then even if they won the right to make Howell warriors, they would have to participate in Snow Raven Bloodright Trials. To win the Bloodname, would mean they would have had to fight in the Grand Melee then the duels, an impressive feat.
