Well, you drive an Atlas, which these days is Big, SLOW and undergunned. Just saying!

you are forgetting speed tweak.

The timber has a movement profile of 5/8 in TT, but in MWO because we are not constrained to using exact hexes it moves at the equivalent of 7.5 TT hexes. 7.5 hexes is 89.1 kph with tweak, 8 Hexes is 95.1 with tweak.

First, you said "true to TT".

Secondly, 5/8 mechs with speed tweak get 89 kph in MWO. So if following any consistency, the untweaked Executioner would be 81 kph and a tweaked one 89.

Thats because running speed is supposed to be 1.5x walking speed, but 7.5 hexes is not a thing in TT. the mechs with odd number movement speeds got a rounding advantage in TT that was removed in MWO.

7.5 Hexes is 81
81 + 10% is 89.1

8 Hexes is 86.4
86.4 + 10% is 95.1

I've had great success with the Banshee-3M and the Exe seems to be a slimmer, faster, jumping version with clan laser vomit. I don't think it will be terrible at all.

The big difference there is that the banshee has 5 (6 if you count the head) eye level energy ports, where the Executioner has its weapons mainly at crotch level. Look at how the 3M is amazing and the La Malinche is junk, despite the La Malinche having better quirks, and then look at WHY that is.

The 3E has to reveal itself to bring its main weapons to bear. It seems to be doing ok.

Personatly, I already have my Dire Wolf, and it's the only Clann Assault Mech (except from the Blood As) that people should want to get.

Myself, I think the Exec will be a blast, load up with cSPL and chase down Lights! Sneak around behind the enemy Assaults and let er rip with 7 cSPL and haul ass out before they can turn around, or better yet, jump ove..er..right..hoverjets, so haul ass out before they can turn around.

It's all guesswork until we get it ingame, remember that folks. How many times have people declared a Mech DoA before we got it due to how it looks, it's possible loadouts and so on, and how many times have they been right? Not once so far, so...

Was in a drop with Alex Gardener last night, he teased us a little bit, said he can't wait til we get to use MASC, we'll love it...teasing bastiche....

That's because we don't rely on those Mechs in CW, so how they meta doesn't matter to us, we just want to have fun in them

I got the Exec pack as well, can't wait for my Exec, I know I'll have fun in the CB, but I'm itching to load my Exec up with cSPLs and go chase Lights.

I'm hyped about it mostly due to the MASC. After watching the preview it's going to be a mean corner poker. And it looks like it can actually jump!

With MASC it's going to be the nascar assault king! (I hate the nascar crap btw...)

After watching the MASC demo, not so sure about the massive cSPL Light chasing now, but the poking and jumping at speed thing..THAT looks like it'll make for some rather interesting build options.

Have to wait and see what we can really do with the Exec now, but it's showing some rather unexpected promise.
