I come back to check on Faction Warefare... I played 10 or so games, long wait ,then lose all. IT IS NOT FUN TO ONLY LOSE...

FW sucks for me. :( It needs a beter match making.

BakuO, cw doesn't have a match maker it just has a game maker. If you want to win more you will need to join a group. Your house should have a website with a teamspeak you can get on here join up with some people. Later on you can join a unit.

CW sucks for most MWO players. There is NO matchmaking at all in CW so there's no way to make matchmaking "better". There IS matchmaking in the solo-only queue and the group queue, but it doesn't work as well as it should because the overall MWO population is small. Very few solo players enjoy CW.

I am one of them, and I have sen plenty more. My suggestion OP, would be to try dropping with another faction, Like the Free Worlds League, or the Draconis Combine.

may want to check out my rather short CW guide

https://docs.google....901bb2418_179_7

it also has some nice deck suggestions
https://docs.google....g7925b2718_3870

and upgrade paths for new players
https://docs.google....9accf3b35_134_0

There are also a couple pages which sort of explain how to wrap your head around it.

Welcome back.

Now that you found out that dropping solo into the group centric part of the game is not healthy, go join Davion Public TS. Go join any one of the IS Units. Go use the LFG tool. Use VOIP. Use Faction Chat.

Use any one or more then one of the tools available to you to talk with other players and organize.

Remember loading screens? Teamwork = Victory. Not just some BS saying, it is the truth in MWO.

Now that you know how to win in CW, it is now up to you to do something about it.

Do you even have mechs that can run in CW? (I don't mean mechs that can drop. I mean mechs that are elited/mastered, and have modules on most their slots).

You need to have your mechs elited at a bare minimum. Other than that, join a unit, and coordinate. House Davion's TS server is ts50.bargainvoice.com:7345 You will find many players there to help you out.

Too many cry about losing never blame themselves or attempt to get better. What a crappy generation to have behind us playing games.

Thanks no child left behind you created feeder fish!

Imperius, generally I rarely disagree with you, but on this post, I think you crossed a few lines. The OP clearly stated that he just got back for CW. This means he hasn't been in the game in a long time. Yes OP is whining about losing, but we can either steer them in the right direction, or crush their spirit with posts like this one of yours.

You realize, that if you only DEFEND planets your chance of fighting an organized 12-man is much, MUCH higher and so your chances of getting kicked, if you are in a pug, gets much MUCH higher.

Try dropping in an attack queue planet rather than defending.

Use the QUEUE window to look for groups who are queued up and join that queue rather than going into a game where it is just solo players queued up -- there are ways to increase your chances of success as a solo player.

Do you understand how rarely I play the game and still com back winning? Let's hold his hand some more till he loses all self direction and any ability to realize the issue is with him not <insert I can't be the problem excuse here>

I always welcome training people, but some don't want to get better they just want PGI to add ELO or AutoWins whatever you want to call it so they can feel like they are mechwarriors who don't suck.

I'm ok to help the willing glad to see the babies head to the next cod.

Yeah dropping in the mode made for hardcore teamplay and units as a solo is rough. Maybe its because its a mode made for hardcore teamplay and units . . .
Join a group that drop on comms and in CW regularly and tell me if your experience is different.

I'm of a more proactive nature. My approach is to immediately go: No! Here's what you did wrong. Here's how you can do things right. Ask for help, until you're on your feet, and learn the game.

Ween them off the crutches, and they can stand on their own. If they don't, then no harm was done, and they are gone.

Imho and from my experience MW:O is a game where a match victory is not that much up to you compared to other games. That doesn't mean that you don't have an impact on the game at all, but it is reduced compared to other competitive games.

I have had matches dealing 1,2k+ damage and single-handedly took out 4+ enemy mechs. And we lost. And then there are games where I just end up being a complete failure and yet my team manages to win. Blaming it on one person's skill is imho not the way to go in general and especially in MW:O-circumstances.

Take this for example: I mostly pilot assaults and I do not consider myself to be a rather good player and I have no idea how my stats compare to these of other players, but here we go:

My average damage in my DW-Prime is 671. I have a K/D ratio of 3,14. I have a win-loss ratio of 0,98.

I lose more often than I win despite dealing quite a bit of damage and on average taking out 25% of the enemy mechs.

Then theres my second DW: Avg. Damage is 449. K/D is 2,45. Win-loss-ratio is 3,13.

Despite performing a lot worse in the seocnd DW, my w-l-r is MUCH higher compared to the build with which I personally do a lot better. So there definitely is something to winning that is beyond one's personal control in MW:O.

Edit: Won't tell you how I perform in other mechs though. :P

Ah, nothing like watching an honest post about a poorly balanced game mode veer towards a frothing political rant.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people think games should be work, not fun, and everyone should be forced to play them on hard mode because "that's how real men play!"

To the OP: CW is a train wreck because of the total lack of match-making and the generally poor and predictable map design. Top that off with the cadre of players who honestly think the game mode should NOT be fun for anyone but the most skilled players - and who seem to think everyone should either devote hours to "get good" or simply get out of the game - and you have a problem format that may never get better.

Ok, so you read up to the eighth word and stopped. Rarely play MWO and rarely read.

Odd you would not include the very subject of the sentence.
