games been like that for 3 years... nearly every assault in the game except for the stalker has a problem with their CT getting cored out and the rest of their armor not mattering much

Looking at the video, the person did 0 armour rolling and allowed the enemy to rip at him. Meanwhile the final blow occured when the mech was powered down, stationary, and facin the enemy and some CT damage already happed after the rear hit badly...
Sorry. I see nothing here besides tunnel vision or bad piloting if you complain about "being hit in the CT"
I personally had no issue what so ever with the Executioner and due to the fact the MASC also helps rolling armour i have no problem soaking damage up and using MASC to roll armour quickly and I do not even have any basics yet

Right?
I was expecting to see a video where streams of LRMs all homed in on his CT or something, but instead I got a video of an Execute trying to stare down a frickin Dire Wolf in a dakka contest.
Come on, Dj.
EDIT: Not to mention that the DW came at you with a stripped arm, and you actually targetted stripped his ST while he went straight for your CT.

Its funny
I've twisted in this thing like crazy and hae been doing so to the max amount of torso twist even allows for this thing (no basics). I haven't been able to get either ST to lose all of its armor so far, and I die pretty easily. Only way I can play this thing with the CT so far would be to take advantage of MASC where I peekabo for an alpha repeatedly, then use MASC to re-position/run away.
Someone mind posting a picture that's accurate of its hitboxes?

I didn't play one but couple friends of mine did, in same group and they seem to take front CT hits when they were not facing enemy... when they twisted ~90 degrees or even when turned their back to enemy, still front CT hits.
Might be same kind of issue that hellbringer had when it was released.

Its the protruding chest, same deal on Orion, Quickdraw, Dragon, Thunderbolt.
You twist out damage until you're ready to shoot, line up a shot, fire, and twist again.

I haven't lost an ST once all day. Something weird is going on.

There's definitely something wrong. Not just for the front CT, but the back as well. I could have a near perfect side profile against the enemy and my CT still gets tanked before the rest.
In the meantime, I just stopped trying to twist damage in it. It doesn't work, so all it does is throw off my aim.

Now to be devil's advocate here, Technically the Head is treated as part of the CT, so there are basically 2 hit boxes that count as the CT.

I would be interested to see someone with a little more time on their hands than me to figure out the hit boxes on the Executioner.
Otherwise, my first impressions of this mech are quite positive.

You have MASC.... strafe and torso twist more.... Definitely not the mech to park face to face with a Direwolf. However a total baller if you know had to burst accelerate and torso twist...
Hands down my new favorite clan assault.
