Glad, and Gargy were not designed to be a gun boating land pig like the Daishi. they are fast strikers, skirmishers, and snipers.

Yes use them like this and they will work good, stick with mediums and go running around wreaking havoc.

The Executioner is only “New” in the way it is being released by PGI.

In actuality, The Executioner, Gargles, DWF, WHK etc all appeared simultaneously in TT with each type of mech fulfilling a certain role type.

If one does not play a mech based on its role, then obviously the mech should not be expected to perform.

Granted features such as Hitboxes are developer defined, but the weaponry, free tonnage, fixed equipment were pre-defined based on lore.

And these have all already been made known as part of the pre-order sales pitch.

So the only complains should be with regards to probably hitboxes and other attributes to which PGI had the leeway to define.

I hope to hear from others how they have managed to play the Executioner in the role it was intended for.

Objectively, no, that's false.

Mr Gargles and Mr Gladbag both suffer from poor construction. Due to locked engines, one could say having max heatsinks inside the engine is a good thing. The Gladbag has an extra heatsink on top of that, in the torso.
Generally a poor decision, since it removes options.
This is ignoring the fact that the engines are terrible sizes, but that's TT.

The real travesty is Ferro instead of Endo. That's just gimping a robot for no good reason; Ferro is in all cases worse than Endo. Swapping Endo for Ferro gives both robots ~1.5 tons, and also gives the mechs nice even armour levels, rather than strange decimals and needing to strip.

Giving Mr Gargles Endo+Ferro gives him 4 tons, enough to mount a Ballistic with ammo and lasers that are not small.

If we get insane, swapping his engine from a 400 to a 375 saves him 7.5 tons, at the cost of ~7 Kph. Totally worth it, but because that completely goes against TT rules, which IS robots totally do not follow, he will remain a sad lonely Clam.

Most Clams have bad construction in some form or another. I'm not sure there's a single one in the game that wouldn't change something. Even the God Tier chassis' have something they would change, but only one or two. (Such as heatsinks inside the engine on the Crow; 6 slots wasted)

I don't need a refund, I didn't buy one. My advice is do not buy Clan mechs with jumpjets and no Endo Steel unless they have tiny engines to counter that. PGI's fixed equipment Clan Mechlab dooms mechs like the Executioner and Summoner to the salvage bin. They are very wrong on this fixed equipment model and do not support it.

Why is it that people expects the next Package mechs to be the kings of Meta? Does no one buy them simply because they love the designs?

^^ This. PPl s mind are set up like this: If i pay real money it has to be very good/ Perfect/ dominate most other earlier mechs/

DO you really need to buy it, and watch it in the mechlab for understand?

(That said, exe is a fun mech, such as the garg is).

In fact I do. I also need to run a few trails on different configs before I settle for one. Not everyone can look at stats or blueprints and know excatly how the thing will work.

I strongly believe that it's better to apply Einstein's quote in other context than mwo/bt.

That's the "spirit" of clan mechs' construction. Exagerating one aspect/side and trying to profit it.
I really wouldn't change nothing about them. Changing something solid in them, and they aren't garg and exe anymore.
("solid" means not something silly as flamer's adder, as we cannot decrease heat by using it, or create smoke barriers to los)

A 95 tonner that charges the enemy at that speed is good, a lot of dmg. It's not exe's fault if here in mwo he cannot charge. 95/10*8=76 dmg. Actually mr exe lacks those 76 dmg possibility.

All the problems arise when pgi decide not to follow the RULES.

I learned after the first wave not to spend actual money on mechs anymore.

You are way better off getting the mechs for cbills as at that time they will either be properly balanced and more fun or will have been heavily nerfed and your money wasted.

I will say the executioner is a terrible assault mech I go one on one against them several times now and walked away while they were dead and thats in my fs9-a with a xl engine...

Apparently not.

And most durability issues come from people who don't know how to twist, or understand the role of a chassis. Any idiot who paid any attention knew the Exe was not going to be a facetanker or Sniper. It's a flanker/skirmisher, best meant for hit and run, with as mcu PP/FLD and or short duration weapons as possible, MASC, shoot, MASC out, repeat.

I really want this mech. Very sad I couldn't afford it, this time.

Yes, I understand your pain. Started up a business and moving homes so not a lot of disposable income available. Someday we will be able to buy shiny toys again instead of waiting 3-6 months.

Isn't that how it's supposed to be? A Firestarter solo kills Assaults?

I don't have one but I also go 1 vs 1 with Assaults and kill them in my Hugginn.

Huginn is a pain for anything that is big and isn't elited out. The SRM spread doesn't matter as much due to the huge target area. Unless the larger mech can severely damage the Hugginn in 1-3 hits it's gonna be a pain.
