FFS people, you knew this when they announced the mech. There were discussions and statistics about it's tonnage, speed, free space for weapons, possible variants, etc...
You have zero freaking excuse complaining about the stuff that was revealed or disseminated prior to Wave3 pre-orders being opened.
Complaining about torso-twist, hard point height/location, JJs still being crap, or MASC implementation are all valid. Enough with the whining about tonnage like you weren't told months ago.
Sincerely a Wave3 Executioner package owner.
Give me a break, maybe if we were all BattleTech TT nerds we would have done all the calculations in advance to know that it would be a dog of a mech. Maybe you should have warned us "unenlightened" MechWarriors since you were obviously in the know way in advance of my $120 being put down for Wave 3.
The fact is you can't tell how is mech is going to play until you pilot it and try to make a workable build in the Mechlab. I've been playing for 2 years now and I got suckered... I admit it... I should have known that with all the hype PGI would dump an oversized Shadowhawk on us at 95 tons. Actually the Shadowhawk is a better mech (that carries the same payload as the Exe) but anyway my point is we HAVE A RIGHT to feel suckered and complain to PGI about it.
I paid back in February or March before everything was probably dissected on the forums about the Executioner's payload etc. etc. Did I know about the 70 deg torso twist? No. Did I know about 13 tons of un-removable hardware and low hardpoint mounts on the arms? No.
MASC is fun, but soon it will be rolled out to all the other mechs and removable on the IS mechs... making the Executioner another gimmick Clan mech that I wasted money on.
And the answer about whether each Mech should be better than the previous one... no I don't believe that should be the case. BUT I'm pretty sure a new 95 ton mech should make the opponent get worried... I don't think that's the case for anything other than Gargoyle pilots.
