Can't you just put the MC on sale, I want to get some MC for using premium time a day at a time but spread out over a month (so I can do mad grinding on a single premium day and not be wasting it on days I might not play much)

Question.

I want to get Misery, Grid Iron and Huginn.
All three are a little bit expensive... Is it worth it? ... i mean... does the the playstyle differs very much from other variants of their chassis?
Should i skip misery? or grid iron?... and spend on mechbays instead?

The Huggin is maybe the 1st or 2nd most lethal InnerSphere mech.

The Grid Iron is fun because the insane Guass fire Rate.

And the Misery is a great tank.

They are all great.

You can get cbill versions that do just as well if not better...believe me you dont ever have to pay real money to get a great mech in this game.

Yep,

You don't have to spend a penny in this game.. but why not pay PGI every once in a while for something shiny and new.

You know, cause they run a business.

Huginn is a SRM machinegun.

Grid Iron is a Gauss machinegun with nice MPL quirks.

Misery is the only Stalker with a B hardpoint and can asymmetric tank with a Ac20/2PPC alpha.

Huginn is likely the most similar to its other variants of the 3 chassis.

GI is the sniper of the hunchbacks...fairly different unless you want to forgo quirks and put a Gauss on a HBK-G.

Misery is likely the most different from its other variants because: Dakka

Should I get myself a second Misery. Different build, 2 for CW and no waiting times for a new game...

Serious thinking... :)

Hm, how´s the verdict on the Ember? I´m thinking about getting either the Ember or the Huggin...

I'm also curious: I've got Firestarter mastered but no raven. Is a hugging still worth it, or should I go for the ember? I imaggine the insane srm-firepower would beat the mg spam...

If you can afford it, get the misery too. It's a very unique mech, even under stalkers. It's effectively limited to AC20+laser/ppc loadout, but no other mech works this way. Closest mech would probably be an asymmetric crab with PPC/AC20(/SRM).
The grid iron is probably the easiest mech to skip, because it mainly works with a single gauß, and otherwise you could easily get a gauß jager (or 2xAC5/ppc shadowhawk for superior supportfire).

Unless you love the Firestarters and want to recapture the magic, Huggin is just FUN. Few things finer in this game than finding an unaware 'Mech and just chewing them apart, often before they can really react.

ofmg yeah i know those moments >_>

Leaning towards getting the huginn. Event and some premium time shouldn't make it too hard to acquire to more 35 ton mechs...
Ember looks nice, but i'm under no illusions it always would be my weakest firestarter.

That said, i'm a bit afraid PGi might nerf that mech.

edit: Oh, seems like a got a 3L from some tournament. Cool, so it's the huggin!

Depends....

If you want to troll GI and Huggins are good but not for C-Bill making.

With GI you can only load 40 Gauss rounds means optimal 600 damage, you will not survive and deal too much damage with 2 MPLs so 600 damage will not earn you too much C-Bills....

Huggins, biggest troll machine of IS but are you going to make C-Bills, remember to troll with that SRM machine gun you will have to be in knife fight range and this is no firestarter with broken hit boxes.

But Misery with AC20/2xPPC setup is a beast, go for it.

If memory serves right the prices are also reflected on the mastery bundles too right?

NO the mastery bundles are 50% off the price of all the Mastery bundle content.
the Bundle has a set price in the Data Base and it is not dynamically generated from the current price of the bundle content.
