HELL YEAH BABY!

WHERE IS MY VULTURE/MAD DOG?

In the cold, outermost reaches of gawdforsaken space where it belongs with the rest of the Clan designs in 3049.

Well I hope there are going to be some big maps for this baby to play on, other than that? Worthless.

"Her Cicada leaps over the Awesome, firing down into its head-area"

That's one hell of a jump ability, to jump over Awesome unless it's the JJs, which it shouldn't be seeing that the nearest Cicada with JJs is -3F and that is still two, two and a half years down the road...

On the redesign, I love it. Nice way to see the unseen

And each 'Mech comes with a complimentary bottle of Jagermeister in the cockpit, right?

I couldn't be happier with the Jagermech. It was the 1 mech I wanted to see included most and I was almost sure it wouldn't be.

Of course it would happen while I'm mostly AFK on a trip...

At least it's not as bad as being on the receiving end of, say, 5 small lasers.

The Jagermech was considered the Riflemans little brother, the rifleman having a different look but similar and having twin ac/5 and twin large lasers with two mediums in the torso.

your forgetting custom mods, which can be better than the variants by far.

This was confirmed ages ago in the dev questions.

They talked about the side torso being at risk, but not to the extent that this mini-story confirms what happens.

heh its twin ac/5's and twin ac/2's which is nasty as the ac/5's have a 540meter range and the ac/2s which have the same range as LRM's or 630 meters. jagers were known as a nightmare for scout mechs

Just to clarify, the Jagermech is the Rifleman's BIG brother.

RFL's are 60 tons, these are 65, sharing the same weight bracket as the Catapult.

And it's once again a case of one of the derpier designs in the game getting a really nice makeover courtesy of Alex.

Interesting. I despise this mech/loadout in tabletop, however I really like the artwork.

Crazy hypothetical claim: Based on what they have said about lasers (that they are represented by lenses in the torso) and hardpoints, are we to guess that the red lenses seen in the center torso above and below the cockpit area are giveaways for additional laser hardpoints that they have talked about in the MechLab video?

I'm not a fan of ACs, but the this I can get behind. I can't wait to see if I can cut the ACs off to mount a pair of Gauss Rifles.

You most certainly can, in fact, that's a canon variant. =)

JMG-DG 3054 field refit, 2 gauss with 6T of ammo. To be fair it's not canonically around yet, but there's nothing that stops you from building it other then the fact you'd use medium lasers instead of ER medium lasers.
