I always thought of the JagerMech as a house/igloo with legs and autocannons. The people at MWO have been great at taking mech designs I was lukewarm to (Trebuchet, Dragon) or just hated (JagerMech) and making them into something amazing. Better still is when they take designs I love (Centurion, Cataphract, Awesome, Raven, Hunchback) and make them better. MWO is 14/14! Can't wait for 15.

Not my favorite mech, but if I get one I will upgrade it to 2 gauss so it is a real direct support mech.

The Jagermech is not a Rifleman, but it's close enough to keep me happy.

Here's hoping there'll be a "Rifleman" variant...

Not quite the same, but they're getting closer to it.

Seriously? Jagermech role was mostly anti-aircraft "Designed as an anti-aircraft platform and long-range fire support unit, the JagerMechwas intended to correct several perceived faults of the original Rifleman. "

Looking at the recently announced mechs (Trebuchet, Cataphract, and now Jagermech) I'm really starting to wonder. Not what I would call any of the iconic or first rate combat mechs out there. When I think battletech, what comes to mind for pre-clan Inner Sphere would certainly not be those. Archer, Thunderbolt, Warhammer, Shadowhawk, Marauder, Blackknight, Orion, Zeus, and a few others, these names are some of the first to come to mind.

Now here is my question and it has bothered me since I started to play b-Tech way back in the day: Is it pronounced Jaggermech like Mick Jagger or is it pronounced ''Yagger'' like in Jaggermister or the hockey player. Just wondering? Awnsers or comments?

Although it is nice to see something new instead of the same-ol same-ol mechs we see in every incarnation. I really like the lineup so far.

@Alexander Fury
It is a long A, as in yey-ger. The same as Jagermeister.
