What mechs and builds are you running? Certain mechs and weapon types cant carry matches. I think my longest loss record was like 5 in a row.

The Mordor Gamble is the worst. You either will have teammates competent enough to get to the entrance soon after you arrive and go in to take advantage of your strike delaying the enemy, or you get guys who drag their feet while climbing the slopes and would not go in as you try your damnadest not to die after being focused by multiple enemies.

I hate that. I really should just stay in the back and focus on getting high scores than winning in that map cause it is definitely not worth dying for the team so early on. Not to mention the 40K C-Bills I just spent.

The map needs a bit of a redesign simply because it takes soo damn long to flank the center.

15 losses in a row lol new players start at 800 ELO, then after so many games it puts them into 1200 (average) you pretty much must be so bad and below average that you're out classed in the normal group that you recently got put in. Under 1000 ELO and it's POTATO WARRIOR ONLINE.

do you guys think that "John" cares much about losing a game when he loses actually nothing? he can jump into his next mech and go lose somewhere else. Do you think "John" cares much about winning a game when a victory will earn him a new medium laser compared to a loss ?

ya had about an 8 streak this weekend, ddnt help that I was levellng my Execs, and needed a damn 2x XP win lol. Ugh it was slow going...

Pugs don't do that. Its always chaos in the beginning as everyone gets their bearings or chat and or voip gets chatter then the team coalesces into a unit. Even on the best pugs teams concentrated fire is hit or miss unless targets are called.

Solo's can't learn fro the experience because they haven't a clue to whats happened or what they witnessed. Then they come here and some liar tells them no one synchs into solo and to get better.

Sorry its the exploiters destroying the game, not PGI. This is a simple truth, One no exploiter wants you to understand.

I've found if you avoid playing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the hours of 7:00AM - 7:00AM this problem doesn't crop up any more.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one seeing this Elo Hell behavior this weekend. Was trying to level my EBJs on Thursday. As always, I do that in solo PUG as the group PUG is much more competitive and I don't want to burden my team with an under-performing mech. Did OK in the PRIME and fair in the A (switched to the same loadout as the PRIME after 3 games) up to Basic Then I switched the loadouts over to the B and the C. That is when it went down hill.



Between the two, 2 wins 11 losses. The C had the lowest damage/round at 318. So I was doing on average better than most of the rest of the team. I kept seeing 5-7 players on my side getting below 200 damage/ 30 match score. Every round. Like this round:



So, after the 11th loss, I decided to check with PGI if for some reason my account was flagged in some way. After I sent an e-mail to them I played one round of CW. Then I went back to solo PUG.



Turnaround. I got 6 wins and 2 losses before I started doing group PUG rounds and training with my team.

On Friday night I went back to solo PUG and saw the same thing again. Round after round of 5-7 doing sub 200/30. Loss after loss. That is when I gave up trying to win and power leveled them until 2:30AM. After that, I gave up on playing for the weekend.

I've lived in ELO hell since the game came out I get the worst players in my team constantly! What do I do? Like a good Mechwarrior I suck it up and Carry that sack of potatoes on my team to victory. Not all of them make it I lose a few tots here and there some get mashed but but as long as I come out with a win I don't care.

I don't lose like you do because I play to win and use my noobs as distractions and shields so I can make the flank that wins us the fight. Thanks to no VOIP for too long I learned you get behind the other potato mass and shoot get behind cover and they all focus you, then you tell your potatoes to push!!! Then the enemy turns back to your potatoes and you wreak their back armor causing conflict in the enemy of who to shoot first who is the bigger threat and then you win.

Another way to look at it is.

Did I get the only kill on my team?

Did I do top damage?

If you can say yes to these after a stomp then maybe, just maybe the combination of players in your team was bad and there was nothing you can do.

You can carry only so much.

Only you have the right to judge your own performance in solo.

If you have the change to go clan faction, try leveling them in CW. I frequently broke 1k damage with a single unbasiced ebon jag against IS pugs (while pugging myself), because you know... that's how IS pugs roll. Yeah the waiting times are long, but a 30 min match often gives you 2000+ xp per mech, which is nice if you drop with 3 ebjon jacks. I was able to get all basics on 3 jags on one evening this way.
