Since most are posting their top 5s it might be better to account that as well. Add all the place numbers each person assigned to a mech and the one with lowest score wins. For example most are putting Quickdraw in their list at places between 1-3, it is obvious it will receive the lowest score and thus be the first to receive a (possible) rescale pass, while other mechs that aren't normally put on the first places yet still mentioned as 4th or 5th will receive a proper evaluation on where they stand right now.

Hope that makes sense

Might be able to widen the mech list then and include more mechs than just the ones you'd like to be rescaled because they are your personal favorites.

A little late for that? Some of them didn't post it in any order either lol.

If I were to turn back time, I would have just allow everyone to put in all their selections rather than keeping it to their top 5s. But what's done is done.

Tally updated. :)

My consistent top 5 offenders:

1. Centurion
2. Trebuchet
3. Awesome
4. Quickdraw
5. Dragon

Except for the Awesome, the problem I have seen with the old medium mechs (and honorary mediums), was that their physical size hurt them because they didn't have the weaponry/armory of much heavier mechs of the same physical size. The Awesome, being the lightest of the Assault, suffered from being the same width of a 20 ton heavier Atlas.

However, those are just the main ones of the "old guard". There are some new medium mechs in the last year or 2 I haven't purchased because of their sizing issues, despite them being mechs I'd otherwise be interested in:

Kintaro
Vindicator

Also, outside those, just the missile box arms of the Catapults are out there in terms of scale.

Tina hasn't gotten around to it, which seems odd to me as well. Maybe they have some stuff that needs to go live (e.g. Geometry updates) before that happens?

Seems there's hope to this after all. So in your opinion, which 5 mechs make it to the list? I'll probably make a count tally as well (it will only include your top 5).

EDIT: In reality, it's likely we can just name all the Mechs which are badly scaled in Tina's thread, instead of limiting ourselves to our top 5 the way I'm doing this.

I'll go first (edit: not in any order)
1) Awesome
2) Quickdraw
3) DragonTrebuchet
4) Catapult
5) Boy, this is a hard one. Can't make up my mind at this point. Will edit later. Nova

TALLY (updated as at Jun 29 UTC 12.45am, Xetelian's post (#140))
Awesome: 53
Quickdraw: 66
Dragon: 8
Catapult: 43
Kitfox: 15
Adder: 1
Nova: 38
Centurion: 25
Griffin: 8
Trebuchet: 33
Grasshopper: 26
Shadow Hawk: 11
Stalker: 9
Warhawk: 6
Wolverine: 3
Atlas: 1
Cicada: 3
Timber Wolf: 2
Victor: 5
Commando: 4
Spider: 3
Battlemaster: 1
Vindicator: 6
Locust: 2
Jenner: 1
Maddog: 3
Urbanmech: 2
Stormcrow: 1
Thunderbolt: 2
Panther: 1
Gargoyle: 1
Firestarter: 1
Summoner: 1
Dire Wolf: 1
Zeus: 1
King Crab: 1

Player not counted:
NephyrisX (no clear definition of top 5 among the 6)
kapusta (#86 - you need to pick your top 5)
Rick Shanchez 1895 (#109 - Gargoyle not counted for being 6th)

Top 5?

1) Nova
2) Centurion
3) Catapult
4) Trebuchet
5) Kit Fox

Mind you, there are some that are too small, like the Stalker. And others that need to be re-proportioned, like the Awesome, but I don't know if the rescaling will simply be rescaling, or if they would actually redesign as needed. If so, then the AWS would be #5 instead of the KFX.

Others, like the Shadowhawk or Grasshopper might be too tall, but it doesn't actually impact their in game survivability, so I feel they are low priority.

Just my 2 cts...but the poor Nova is about as egregiously oversized as it gets.

Appropriately, the Quickdraw is head and shoulders above everything else.

LOL TERRIBLE PUN.

WAT! (insert old fatty lady pic here)

Well, maybe it's not the dimension of the hopper, but the fact that it moves like a mummy, having the huge archetype.

If the grass won't be in the group of 5, I at least hope pgi rethinks about it.

Practically every medium mech needs to be 10-15% smaller in all axes.

Awesome, Treb, and Quickdraw are a given.

I thought that archetype had nothing to do with how the mech moves, aside from the hill climb thing and that they hardcoded a fix in for the Grasshopper so it climbs hills like a heavy... was that not the case?

TBH, I don't know.

But I feel it like and assault piloting it, not only hill climbing.
The strange thing is that I enjoy much more the Zeus even though it weights 10 tons less.

On the fence about the Zeus. I didn't care for it, then I liked it, now it's ehhh for me LOL.

I like it's heavy characteristics for an Assault (I hate the traditional Assault roll), but I'm just not doing too well in it. I wouldn't doubt that most games I just break 200 dmg with the Zeus :/

I still need to earn 2x basics on a chassis, so I'll reserve my final verdict (plus I'll play a round more with builds), but I'm not sure I like it more than the Grasshopper.

I've just looked at my stats...and I found something I would have never said: I'm doing far better in the Grasshopper than the Zeus.
So,the issue it's really how I feel the grasshopper, while piloting it...

Super hard to decide on a list, I mean for example, the Awesome has got 'bad' geometry, but it does look about right in scale, even though it might need some extra durability quirks or something.

Anyway, my list.
1. Catapult
2. Quickdraw
3. Centurion
4. Nova
5. Stalker (criminally small).

Dunno, there are more of course (kit fox for example).
If they could just make their model, upload it in Solidworks or something using a given density of X, then scale to the correct weight using said density X, then no one could complain about scale really.

For mediums, the hunchback feels like it has the best scale in relation to heavies and lights, which means most mediums need to scaled down.
