.... are you forgetting about the jump jets?

You can strip the arms, give it Ferro, 2 Gauss, 6tons of armor, and 2 JJs. A poptarter's delight!

Well, if you strip ALL the armor off the arms, run an XL200 for 71KPH, you've got 30.5t free after your two mandatory DHS. 24t go to dual gauss, so that leaves 6.5t free for ammo, jump jets.

Did McGral mess up his maths? In that case 5.5 tons of ammo and 2 jets? or 6 tons and 1 jet? Eh works for me. Poptarting with 2 Gauss shoulder mounted like that will be a delight.

I was experimenting with this: HBK-4G

I'd quirk the thing like so:

Maximum armor limit -15%
Ballistic Heat -15%
cUAC20 Heat -15%
cUAC20 Jam Chance -50%

You need to remove 4 points off the legs as well, as there's that portion of a ton.

SSW just displays half tons and "wasted" armour tonnage.

Yeah, I pulled them off the cockpit, was just doing it fast for testing

I don't think so. It's just 7s instead of 14t; same tonnage savings.

New mechs should all start with no quirks. Particularly Clan mechs. Add later if necessary.

cFF is better than IS FF, so I think you lost a bit of weight there. IS is 12% more per ton, c is 20%.

I've been doing my own testing...having even 17 armour means a Dual Gauss robot has a 42+% chance (TCs increase by x amount) to one shot your face...Over 52% chance with a Mk7

I don't like that.

Ah, just checked up on that. i was unaware, so thanks (and Guzzler, too) - my bad.

20% instead of 12%

It does, 35.84 points of armour per ton for IS FF, to 38.4 for Clams.

Marginal, but if the mech had 10 tons of armour, that's over 20 points more/less.

I was assuming most players would roll with dual Gauss and max armor, both of which violate the spirit of the Hunchback IIc. Adding quirks (immediately or eventually) to limit or prevent those behaviors would be a priority for me if I were designing the thing.

Eh, still not seeing this as a big deal. Headshots are really hard, a dual gauss mech with TC7 is basically limited to Dire Wolves... And still requires dual gauss head shots to even have a chance.

Double UAC 5 will be normie build

Double LBX 20 for no ghost heat will be for Pointblank CTing people and obliterating lights.

Dual Gauss because it can.

People "violate the spirit" of practically every mech released. *shrugs*

It is lighter. 20% more per ton rather than 12%, IIRC (probably off by half a percent or something).
