All depends on what you wanna do with it... The HBK-IIC has 4 ballistic hardpoints... If you leave everything else, you could mount 3 UAC5s with 5 tons of ammo, and 2 ermls for backup... That 50 ton mech has almost as much firepower and sustainability as my Cauldron Born... (albeit with MUCH less armor)
The JR7-IIC has 6 missile slots! While, the 4th variant might be better to have the 30% boost with 6 energy, 6 missile hardpoints is nothing to sneeze at! Trimming the engine down to an XL300, and removing 3 JJs lets you boat 6 SRM6s on a light mech! (granted, at 3 tons of ammo to feed it, you will only be able to murder one or two mechs) But if you knocked it down to 6 SRM4, you could wreak all kinds of hell. That is a vicious machine.
Orion.... Yeah, 4th variant is best for me... Dual gauss babeh!
All of the Highlanders look roughly even...
Regrading the HBK, you can always go with the HBK-IIC-C with 2 UAC10s instead of 3xUAC5s... the bonus is you will get 2 actuator enabled arm energy hardpoints.
Regarding the jenner, well, take a look again at IIC-3 and IIC-A one has 4E+2M other has 6E... both superior to 6M no matter what play style you enjoy the most. With IIC-3 you can go 2x artemis enabled srm6s backed by lasers or go full laser vomit on the IIC-A.

The (O) variants give us a 30% C-Bill boost, which is a big advantage, already. That's how I see it.
umm...that's the whole point. Why would i even start this discussion if it was not for (exactly) that.... too much fun is prohibited?
