As a free upgrade Win10 will become the dominating Gamer-OS - there is no way around that!

OK running into issues with the different vision modes that I wasn't getting in 7. It's like going back in time, fps drops to around 20 or lower when using night/heat vision on river city.

First did you update Windows 10?
Second did you do a clean video driver install?
Third did you run MWO repair tool?
Does your User.cfg have any weird settings in it?

Again why can't people understand the programming engineer does not make maps? Might be needed for game modes but that I even doubt. Think of it as PGI has a custom game mode creator that we don't have access too.

Guessing in their jobs they have to learn to do everything and that is all they know. Cannot understand anything else yet when all you know is when to flip the burger, how long the fries take, and if they ordered the combo or not.

I just want to know:

1. Do I need to do anything special to upgrade to Windows 10?
2. Will MWO work on Windows 10?
3. Can I have a grilled cheese sammich while Windows 10 is upgrading?

1. Nope.
2. YES! After a couple hiccups, I see an improvement! +15-20 fps.
3. Yes, but you have to make me one too.

Like Imp mentioned, clean video driver install!

Nvidia released new ones for Win10.

Are all of you OK with this?
you agreed to these terms by installing win10:

I upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 pro without problem, except I had a power outage while upgrading that messed the installation (damn storms...). I had to restore my system from a disk Image that I did before the upgrade. From there i started again and in less than 35 minutes I had the system upgraded.

The only problem after that was the graphic card not being recognized (ATI Radeon 5850) and the antivirus not working (Bitdefender Internet Security 2015). Just letting windows upgrade the graphic driver from their servers and then installing the last AMD driver released yesterday solved one problem. The other was solved downloading a new version of the antivirus (the old one wasnt win10 compatible). And then the AV firewall blocked all my internet access, but its a known problem with that version, just changed the network rules and worked fine.

MWO its working fine, as every other program or game I had installed in win 7. Really, after so many years installing windows in computers and avoiding the upgrades from one windows to another because they NEVER worked (I decided long ago it was not worth it and always did clean installs), its like magic that the upgrade to Win 10 works and the most important, almost all (if not all) the programs installed work after the upgrade. I think i'm going to cry..... *sheds a manly tear*

I had to make a clean install of windows 10 after it broke during the upgrade process. MWO seems to run just as well as before, no difference really.

my router went down when i upgraded to windows 10 the day it came out to be downloaded. It read as an invalid IP address after going through the install process. Im hesitant to go back to windows 10 if i cant get some of the critical windows 10 patches unless i can download it pre-install, like in exe form.

I did a Clean Install from a Win10 DVD i made with the MS Media Creation Tool on my Win10 upgraded Machine today - Win10 was activated automatically without the need to type in a Windows-Key after the Installation Process was done.
Of course this only works after an successful Win10 upgrade bcs MS checks if Win10 was activated b4 on that Hardware.

The only Problem i have not solved yet is Quicktime...everything else runs well so far and the old Data-Trash has gone...

who uses quicktime? unless your refering to games like Riven the sequel to Myst or The Journeyman project III, you could make due without it

free till next year. keep your facts straight.
also i not see any reason to switch from windows 7.
their is nothing windows 10 can posable offer me over 7 also i can buy windows 7 pro for like 12 euro's why on earth do i spend 200 euro's on windows 10 for?

direct X 12
also spend nothing , just upgrade for free

on topic, im running MWO just fine in windows 10
i had to install all the DX update and C++ updates, but that would be the same story for any game
it plays smooth and stable

fyi if your going to do a clean install of windows10, make sure you download the latest LAN driver for your network card and put it on a usb stick
windows 10 is pretty damn good with its drivers but its not perfect and its better to be safe than sorry

Imperius, the game is precious short on new content. CW burned out months ago, the newly revamped pub maps are nice but not all that different, new players are still dropping by the wayside because of a lack of tutorials, and the gamemodes are just burning everyone out.

There really are things much more crucial to the game than DX12, especially given that a number of performance boosts have already been provided this year. I'd much rather them work on giving us new gamemodes and getting those tutorials in. Absolutely crucial for the Steam release.
