Imperius, the game is precious short on new content. CW burned out months ago, the newly revamped pub maps are nice but not all that different, new players are still dropping by the wayside because of a lack of tutorials, and the gamemodes are just burning everyone out.

There really are things much more crucial to the game than DX12, especially given that a number of performance boosts have already been provided this year. I'd much rather them work on giving us new gamemodes and getting those tutorials in. Absolutely crucial for the Steam release.

You must not follow me on Twitter or read my posts just search a few I've been on PGI about that **** for years. Dx12 would be done while making PVE.

You're more optimistic than I am if you think their resources can handle that. Especially for someone who's been watching PGI for years.

When you're doing PVE you'll touch every art asset that would be the perfect time to add dx12 to those assets as Russ described they had to do.

And old but for the Win10 release updated article about the benefits of Dx12:
"We originally ran this article in May 2015, but with the release this week of Windows 10, we thought we'd revisit DirectX 12 on the launch version of the OS, using the latest drivers in order to update the benchmark data."

TL,DR Windows 10 works with MWO, but IMO it's crap. I think I'm going to go back to 8.1.

Windows 10 update complete. MWO works fine, as do many Steam games.

My system:
Intel i5-4570 3.2 GHz Quad Core
12 GB Ram
nVidia 750Ti Video Card - Used the official driver package released 7-29-15.
Samsung EVO 840 SSD

My rig is pretty similar to yours... did you see a performance change? (FPS increase/decrease?)

Are all of you OK with this?
you agreed to these terms by installing win10:

You can shut all that off via the privacy tab in settings. It's a non issue.

If there is a performance increase its not because of DX 12 because right now no game has support for it.

Are you done beating the dead horse yet? It isn't coming soon. Deal with it.

Not sure if I should just report this post as trying to start an argument.

Not trying to start anything, just stating what Russ has said, nothing more man.

Well if you read what I quoted and trust me I'm aware of what Russ said because he was answering me. All I said is at this moment no one can test DX12. I know what he said they are going to deliberate and come up with a decision. Anyway I can say what I want and what you want but honestly that was an attack and an unjust one if you read what you quoted from me again.

Doesn't matter when you agree to something like that.
you can play with privacy settings all you want. False sense of security and being in charge.
settings just changes data collecting behavior in certain programs which is what YOU're gonna see. It does not shut down the right you've given to MS to access your data.

Windows 7 for me, no reason to change to Windows 10. Especially not since you HAVE TO download every update they send you when using 10. NO thanks!

Honestly once all of you hear and see DX12 you'll upgrade, if you are truly a gamer. It's simple for me I have 2 PCs one has OSX then I have my game rig.

I think everyone here knows about the superiority of DX12 performance (only in games that are designed for dx12 though).
Its just about how much you're gonna give up for it... cause its a lot.

I don't know why, but when i see something like free upgrade to the flagship OS, form MS... i know something is wrong.
Microsoft? free? top of the line OS?..... yeah, right.!

Do any of the existing Total War games use DX12 today?

No DX12 games till at least December and so far a few AAA's are going to add it to exsisting games, battlefield, Cryengine, project cars, and I could only hope metal gear solid 5 (I doubt)

I can wait then, probably even longer until the games I want to play run on DX12.
