Look at it from the front compared to the lower left screen. That's definitely not a Dragon.

I think it's a frankenmech, myself. It has elements of the Dragon, but it looks like the torso of a Crusader, the head of a BattleMaster, and the legs of an Archer. I don't see what the 'Mechs right arm is, but its left looks like an... Awesome?

Wait a second... The Cockpit has dual joysticks! Dual Joystick Support!!!!

(...please...)

No looks like a joystick on the right and a throttle on the left. Actually really resembles my Saitek X-52, even down to the buttons and dials etc! ^_^

Hope the sideways view is an idication of Track IR! :D

I do not see anything wrong. It is the redesigned Dragon. ^_^

impressive. very impressive.
So this definitely aint your fathers mechwarrior for sure looking like that.
I pray the animators on the team are as talented as the artists.
For animation is LIFE!

The targeted mech might be a Vindicator.

Or it is simply a generic design.

It definately isn't. The mystery-mech's right gun-arm actually has an articulated elbow, so that the gun barrel is at chest height. Compare to the dragon, where the gun barrel is at shoulder height because that arm only has a shoulder joint. Additionally, the chest is a different shape, the head seems to rise above the shoulders, and the overall proportions are much more humanoid than those of the Dragon.

I didn't think it was the hunchback but now I'm pretty pleased to be corrected, being that its going to be one of my mainstay mechs.

But the absolute kicker is the implication of the label "Hunchback Cockpit". Seems like all mechs will have unique cockpits. Awesome if true!

Wait, you argue about the targetted mech? Then, sorry. It definately isnt Dragon.

Yeah, going with a single cockpit would make me a sad panda. Very much enjoying their concept. Trying to figure out how the heck you get in and out though. And where the fold away toilet talked about in the canon is. ^_^

In other mechs. Hunchie pilots never live long enough to use it.

On the zoomed-out side view it looks like an access hatch above and behind the chair, like you climb down into it.

Oh? Who's shooting missiles at him? Is working at PGI that dangerous?

Must be a staff meeting, I get missiles shot at me all the time in those (it's the Senior Manager PPCs you really have to watch out for).

The targeted mech looks like the Victor (if you take a little redesign by Alex into account) ^_^ :Posted Image

Oh my god don't you tease. If we got news that the Victor is in game I think my heart would blow up from the sheer suprise and "hell yes" screaming I'd emit.

Greetings fellow Mechwarriors!

Great cockpit shot. Definitely in line with todays modern flight sims. I have a few comments about this.

1. People mention "single" cockpit vs unique. With the AC20, it's obvious to most here it's unique to the HUNCHBACK. But, if you look at all the previous iterations of the MW franchise, they have always had individualized cockpits. Even Mechwarrior 1 has different viewpoints depending on the mech you were driving. I'm sure we have much goodness to look forward to in this regard.

2. Anyone else notice the left and right view screens? Not the 360 deg view some are looking for, but hella-cool anyway. It actually allows you to look "through" that awesome AC20 on your shoulder.

3. Where is the dang HULA GIRL?

4. I wonder if in addition to keyboard/mouse/rudder/joystick, they could actually incorporate an "active" cockpit. I.e. can I actually "touch" the button on the radar to cycle through the modes instead of just hitting the "R" key five times. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this especially since I have two 23" touch screen monitors. Can you say fully immersive cockpit?

Can hardly wait to see more!
