I don' know where to report players. I doubt that even accomplishes anything.

But technically, nothing that your guy did is against the rules. As long as he engaged the enemy, he's beyond sanction.

Still makes him a jackass, but nothing reportable.

Try it here:
moderation@mwomercs.com

But more seriously, get over it. keep calm and shoot robots, no need to make a fuss out of every jerk in this game. It will make you mad, you know?

A very d-bag thing to do, but not against the rules. He did engage the enemy so he didn't violate any rules. It just would have been nice if he would have actually helped.

Now if he ran off, powered down, and then disconnected, that would be a reportable offense.

In that case, send to support@mwomercs.com

He still registered dmg and did not afk... so technically that was his tactic and style of play.. who are you to define how he should play?

Report there.

Include: Day, Time, Map, Name and offence, and a screenshot.

If you have any question about an action, report it. Do NOT listen to people on forums about what is OK or not, most are dead wrong. Report and let PGI do what they do.

And YES, reporting does work and garner results.

From the Code of Conduct thread above...

Quote

Exploiting / Griefing / Non-Participation
Our definition of Exploiting / Griefing includes:
Wilfully or repeatedly destroying Teammate or Lancemate 'Mechs.
Wilfully or repeatedly self-destructing one's 'Mech by Overheating or going Out-of-Bounds
Wilfully or repeatedly disconnecting during a match.
Wilfully or repeatedly spamming in-game chat.
Persistent non-participation in core game mechanics.
Wilfully or repeatedly taking advantage of an issue for personal gain.

A bit more vague on the subject than I'd like, but technically he did participate. Still, I suppose he did also take advantage of an issue for personal gain (by not playing most of the match and trying g to rack up easy kills at the end).

Still, it isnt as cut and dry as I'd like it. Overall, report him if you feel it is necessary and let PGI sort it out I suppose.

There isn't a report button, only a report email. http://mwomercs.com/support has listing of all the options.

TBH it's most likely because of all the creative and spirited disputes people have when it comes to what is and isn't acceptable behavior in PUGs

Well he is a teamplayer. He is willing to sacrifice you for victory. You should be grateful. Maybe you will find him in those "I did rock and my team sucked hard" threads.;)

Best advice OP. Read the CoC and make your own call and let PGI make the final call.

Just report it and move on.

PGI keeps a list. They may not ban a player, especially if they want to use them as a Test Subject. But they will keep an eye on them. *sause town hall meeting*

Playing by this standard no one is allowed to shoot cored mechs, since you're taking advantage for personal gain.

Not if you work as a teammate and share your Armor. Nobody minds if you get the kill if you actively help your team. I dont really like the term killstealing, in above case i might reconsider.

I agree. had a CW match and a guy was bragging about using team as armor.. Someone said he was going to report him.. I went " I am running a Exe... If he is hiding behind me I do not mind i am running 120 up front and that is exactly what it is for".

We won the match... Maybe being blatant and bragging rubs people the wrong way, but tanking is part of the game.

Exactly. If I'm in a Raven in the open, and you're in an Atlas, know that I'm using you as armor. Don't get mad unless I shoot you in the back by accident, otherwise, I'm adding 3 ML's, SRMs and a Narc to whatever you're already shooting at.

@OP - As everyone said, report these cases if you feel they violate the rules, to moderation@mwomercs.com. They DO pay attention, and it's case-by-case.
