From the perspective of a Spider pilot, felt the need to chime in on this.

I have some matches in my Spidey where I feel absolutely invincible...talking running like a suicidal maniac through the enemy team taking barely a scratch, and this happens more often than not. Then I'll have the random, less common match where I get 1-shotted by something's alpha, which to me, as a light, I expect when I make a mistake. But this happens far less than I get to feel untouchable. Probably 9/10 Super Spider matches, with 1/10 normal behavior.

Now I love my Spider, and would rather not see it nerfed, but this has got to be a hitreg or hitbox thing, because I usually have pretty excellent ping, so I know I'm not lag-shielded in any way.

I've also seen this from my assaults while trying to kill Spiders, EBJs, and Cents, in particular. They simply do not die some matches, no matter what you unload into them, then next match, take normal amounts of damage...except the Spiders, which seem godlike more like 90% of the time.

I get the feeling it's more hitreg than hitboxes, in every case perhaps the Spider...(feel like I'm dooming my own mech here..)

Yep was just in a game where a spider took about 6 shots of my ac20. It still died but was kinda silly, it got stuck running against a wall when i unloaded and to my surprise it took minimal damage.. again. Oh and before excuses let me clarify it was almost point blank and he was not actually moving as he was running against the wall, then turned slowly while being shot and ran way still being shot. Final nail hit him as he was running from me but it was pretty obvious something was up. Seems to mostly be an issue with ac20s and Erppcs, lasers hit fine.

Whatever this is, it's an on-again, off-again issue, because I'm seeing much different behavior today than yesterday.

I could play Super Spider in most matches then, yet today, even playing more conservatively, I'm getting one-shotted left and right as a Spider. So I'd have to guess whatever the issue, it's server-side, and it apparently fluctuates. Probably just something we'll have to deal with, since if it's not constant, they may not even be able to nail down the specific issue.

It's like playing an entirely different game today vs all my matches yesterday.

YOu group firing all those guns? I still think massive firepower all at once makes hit reg go a little wonky, given it has to instantly register many, many shots all at once and alot of it gets lost in translation. I have tested this in Planetside 2 plenty. Just full auto fire vs burst firing. When I rapidly tap fire 1-3 rounds I get mcuh more accurate hit reg vs jsut seeing a guy and holding the trigger down. ANd before "but COF", Planetside 2's CoF is actually kinda small and the bloom is not so much, esp not as typical ranges of less then 50m, or inside buildings and stuff.

I also notice little issue with hit reg on my PPCs now when im chain firing them. Even waxed a full health DWF the other day, chain firing my PPCs, took off his side, cored out his center, and caused some pretty heavy damage elsewhere on his mech.

Ofc, in a CW game, I seemed to have issues with my group fired MPL on my SCR.....

BUt the PPCs? I almost 1 shot a TBR when I shot him in teh ass with 40 dmg from my CERPPCs. Hit reg seems fine if you pace yourself.....wish the game kinda forced that.

The build is designed to group fire, as 2 UAC 10's and 3 UAC5's do not incur a heat spike. In this configuration I have the right side set up with 1 UAC10 and 2 UAC 5's, and the left side with an UAC10 and one UAC5 - each side on a seperate trigger for peeking purposes. In the open I tend to unload all guns at the same time, and vs anything other than a light, the fight is usually over inside 2 seconds (including assults) when using the UAC capability for double rate fire.

My chain fire build is 6 UAC5's, and while still able to put substantial dps down range, it lacks the punch that a couple of UAC10's adds.

I expect the haters will say their piece, and I'm not here to defend my shooting. It appears from the comments that others have noticed similar issues, so I'll leave it at that.

I find if i group fire my shots they tend not to register properly, if I chain em quickly I get better results.

From a user with 260-285 ping!

Hitreg is once again broken. Thought 2 Ravens today and I clearly hit them with ER PPC fire multiple times, but the damage did not register at all.

Yeah, something is messed up. I recently drilled a FS 4xAC20+lasers in the CT at the end of a match and it shrugged off almost all the damage. Video:

Where's the problem? Your shots were hitting, it died after you nailed it with an AC/20 + med lasers about 3 times.

Don't you know? Lights are supposed to insta-pop whenever you look at them. Also, every shot hit CT...100%, no way it got spread over side torsos or arms or anything. That's like 1,500,000 effective armor on the CT alone to take that amount of firepower! Totally broken!
