Though I will say, for my playstyle, the Grey Death was a pleasant surprise.

For performance it is the ENFORCER ENF-4R, its just a beast, very tanky for an XL. I have the most number of games played in it and the highest KD, 250 XL, AC10 and 5 ML.

For fun its my Yen Lo Wang. Rediscovered it since I went to an 300 XL, AC20 and 2 MPL, so much more agile but without the zombie goodness.

My Cents have taken some serious poundings and remained functional - sometimes to my amazement.

So one broken Medium with broken animations and Hitboxes means that Mediums are on par with Heavies?

That sarcasm...

Let me say it this way:
1.) Even with "fixed" hitboxes, my statement about SCR vs. heavies would/will hold
2.) The Nova is currently way too big. Once it gets fixed, it might very well be on par with half of the clan heavies. You can't just fit 12 ERSL on a MDD :-D. And there is this one Steiner guy having pretty detailed posts about the Nova's potential, you know ;-).
3.) There are currently only 3 medium clan mechs. You say "one mech", I say "33% of all clan mediums". Tonight it will be four mediums. Than I'd say "50%" of all medium mechs. And "75%" once the Nova will be fixed. If speed is important (I'm not that super-speed kind of guy, so I hate the Ferret, but that's just me), then it will be 100%.

Apart from all that: yes, one mech disproving your statement disproves your statement. That's how it works.

More sarcasm now or approval?

Not at all. :)

I use an AC10 in mine, seems a good fit for the rest of the loadout. I originally used an AC20 like in my 4G, but again, there's nothing like a HBK-4G. :D

Apparently the masses disagree with us on this "Centy needs rescale because it dies easy".

SMH. Learn to twist and use cover. Well run Centy still tougher than nails.

Here i thought, people voted (at least I voted, before seeing that it might overtake the Quickdraw, which is when i switched the vote to the aforementioned Quickdraw) not because it "dies easy", but because it looks aesthetically not as good as it could look.

So...the 11 IS Mediums don't count when saying Mediums are generally second class citizens? And a Well done MDD will still own a Nova barring insano quirks. Ice Ferret is...bad, and Scat won¡t pack the punch or armor to truly challenge, though it should make one HECK of a harasser.

So yeah, even if your supposition holds true, that's 1 Medium out of 15, better than 1 or 2 Heavies. (Sorry but a "fixed" Crow I doubt will challenge a Hellbie.)

Also re-read that opening statement: GENERALLY second class citizens. So uh, no, 1 good doesn't disprove my statement at all, actually.

Want moar sarcasm? ;)

so far, Wolverines. Its a bit hide and seek, but best medium i see there.

i think the only wolverine i like is the one with the ac5 quirks. i got 2 ac5s and a medium laser. i also took my ac5 modules off of my bansh 3e and now the thing fires like a pair of ac2s. im convinced other mechs are completely unaware than im doing 10 damage a salvo instead of 4. i can core an assault in a few seconds with it.

But then you're either slow as a tortoise or as dangerous as a chihuahua.
I blame the clans. Back in my day, you didn't have to run XL engines in everything just to have comparable firepower to other mechs!

I refuse not to run an XL as a way to thumb my nose at the whiners. I have run an XL YLW with it's vulnerable weapons arm since CB. It's a great teacher on how to twist when you gotta protect that gun!

I'm glad the clans came and exposed the myth of the ZOmbie SRM Cent. They were a lazy abomination that taught bad habits. I'm convinced that most of th epeople complaining that the Cent is fragile are ex-ZOmbies who never learned how to twist.

VND-1R does rather well as does the Nova

Well , when confronted on it, a goodly number cried it died too easy.

And those who voted for the aesthetics before game play issues really demonstrated they don't grasp the game well enough to deserve a say in it.

CDA-2B (in sig. Her name is Empress)

For an actual medium...BJ-1X (I have two)

Really coming to love the Enforcer-4R, though (have two of those too)

I will agree with that statement but the 1AA has a jump height of 70m (o.O) compared to 46.88 of the 1R and 52.73 of the Nova.

A sign of the times when a 90 kph medium is considered "slow".

In retrospect, I don' t think there's a medium chassis that I don't like. Certainly the HBK-4G is my all time favorite, but all the mediums are fine mechs. Once I am done buying mech packs and get everything I have mastered, I will play mediums almost exclusively.

Piloting, love my CDA's

Looks? Wolvies. The cockpit feels like I am in a WWII fighter.
