Some points to note:
Weapons were paired in similar 'mech sections, PPCs in right torso, Autocannons in right arm.
Weapons were fired simultaneously
Weapons were fired with no objects in immediate line of sight to obstruct flight.
Testing grounds were used.
Test was done over land... and water.
This mirrors what I'm seeing in actual PUG queue gameplay. In the PUG queue, the PPCs are in different hardpoints, not grouped--so this rules out them hitting each other. In the PUG queue, one either explodes mid-flight -or- just vanishes in thin air.
Watch and see!
As Hank Hill would say, "What in the hell?!"
OKAY OKAY. Some don't believe this is happening. Well... here is MORE PROOF! This time on Alpine. No trees. No birds. No rocks. No buildings. Just... snow. And hills. And anti aircraft artillery!
Alright, ALRIGHT... So it could be a 32-bit problem only, right? Perhaps it is just a chassis issue with those specific weapons. Think again. I present to you video three! In a Timberwolf... with erPPCs and SRMs.
For some odd reason it was harder to reproduce the PPC issues in this one but it is definitely more prevalent in other instances. I'll try to capture one of those. And as far as I can tell, when they explode/disappear in the air... the ones that do, do no damage DESPITE a red cross hair.
