What do you think happens if one of those humongous hip joints rotates forward and one backward?

Try it - stand up with straight legs. Push one hip forward and the other back. What happens to your torso when you do that?

Have you never been on a dance floor?

nova turns on the legs
it's like 'a' 'd' turning

good luck to aim and spread damage only with that

a one per class pack would be a huge waste. We need the classic heavy lineup. Warhammer, Marauder, Archer, Crusader.

All the more reason why I believe they're going to do either a big Clan Wave 1 type pack (like I theory-crafted earlier), or they'll start making the mechs and just filter them in through other packages . . . maybe with packages that have 2+ unseens (especially with larger numbers of lights and heavies).

Fix my Battlemaster.

By that you mean "give it a bubble cockpit"?

Because if that's what you mean, i'm in total agreement with you.
As i said couple of pages back: to me, the cockpit is the most iconic part of the Battlemaster's design and, in my opinion, it was a terrible choice to leave it out.
It's just not a Battlemaster without its iconic cockpit.

I had thrown this mock-up, few days back. It's not perfect, but in my opinion, illustrates the point i'm trying to make about the cockpit's importance to the general aesthetic of the Battlemaster.

Key word: "looked like". Quads don't have turrets, it's in the rules. In return, they can side-step which no other 'mech can.

Edit: And the Scorpion has no turret:

Quads don't have turrets cause CatLabs/FanPro/FASA didn't have them... If PGI can give a Nova a Hips

Just the idea of a quad mech in MechWarrior bugs me, but I'm sure they can be great.

P.S. Yes I know MechWarrior 2 had one quad mech (non-playable in single player and available in multiplayer), I don't care. Just seems....wrong to me.

I'm pretty posses over the state of cw and some other balance issues. I refused to buy the most recent packages and won't until we actually see the "improvements" to cw and balance, quirks, etc.

Yet... Dat Warhammer. Dat Marauder. I know Alex will make them dead sexy. I am horrified by what would get done to them by hit boxes and quirks. Maybe they are best left as imagination where they are unsullied and wonderful.

but....

God damn it. God DAMN it.

Yeah. I'd sell my principles on my frustration over other mwo issues like the ***** I am. The filthy, shameless ***** I am where original art Unseen BT mechs are concerned.

Yeah. I'd buy it. Art like in the op and I'd buy it.

well nova in the lore cannot torso twist too
our nova can

View Poststjobe, on 28 July 2015 - 09:37 AM, said:

Which lore is that? Because in the TT rules it most certainly can torso twist.

"Some ’Mech designs, like the Bushwacker, lack the flexibility to twist at the waist (or don’t possess a waist to twist). A ’Mech with this quirk cannot torso twist." - Strategic Operations, page 198

By canon/lore those 'Mechs that "don’t possess a waist to twist" (such as the Bushwacker... or the Black Hawk, Jenner, Locust, and others) would be unable to torso-twist. ;)

I stand corrected. Under the optional Design Quirks rules, they cannot torso twist.

Under the basic rules, they can.

Sarna.net seems to send mixed signals about the Bushwacker having the ability to twist at the waist.

The primary picture looks like it doesn't (or probably doesn't) posses torso twist capability, but the following artwork shows a clearly defined hip capable of torso twist. I think it had torso twist in MW3 as well.

Interesting.

PGI will make it twist at the waste like the Locust, Jenner, Nova.... It would take too many game engine mods otherwise.

Off topic. Don't care about TT torso twist rules.

Want more Unseen mech p0rn.

PGI, make it happen. Like in OP artwork, not the Battlemaster style rework. Warhammer, Marauder, et al. Make those robbits and make them as badass as they should be and let me throw fists full of money at you for them.

I am not kidding when I say a 8 mech Unseen pack with a look like in the OP (not Phoenix style rework) I would buy a f***ing gold Marauder pack. I might buy a gold Marauder and a gold Warhammer, cuz bi*ches see me rollin' and they hatin'.

Clan mechs.... look, whatever your opinion of Clan mechs and such the introduction of the Clans put a bullet in the head of the TT Battletech franchise. A lot of the old school BT players though have a long, oft frustrated love affair with those Unseen mechs. They were staples of the original BT box set, when only a handful of mechs existed in the game. These are people who blew hundreds on minis and maps would likely throw more money at old school Unseen than any mw pc game series would at Clan packs.

Give it to us. Don't gimp them. We'll throw money at you for that specific mexh p0rn. That is the thing everyone wanted but couldn't have. I'd cash out stock options for that **** and I know I'm not alone.

Seriously PGI. Take my money. Sell me what I want.

I love quads, nothing like a DFA with a jump able Goliath on top of a Atlas or a light mech 'riding' on top of one.

Can you imagine a Locust or a Wasp/Stinger on top of a Goliath?

anyways as long as they are careful it would be nice to the Unseens again.

Now while I totally disagree with completely ditching TT rules (TT is Battletech and MWO is "A Battletech Game"), I do totally want to see the rest of the unseen in the game with as close to the original artwork as possible. Honestly, if PGI had been able to use all of the unseen mechs from the beginning, they could have kept the game set in the pre-invasion 3040s for years while they worked out all the bugs and got CW completely implemented as well as having plenty of time to assess the effects of adding Clan tech to the game.

The base Warhammer design doesn't have LRM's, it has SRM's.
