So to sum it UP
OP have a mech build who instantly vaporize 99% of the lights mechs it's encounter.
Now a single mech the other 1% seems to ignore OP 1337dmg build.
OP logic path, i need MOAR dmg, because in no way the mech can be broken.
P.S: also add the ammusing i'm an OP Clan pilot and clan mechs are fine for extra laughs....
Clan mechs aren't overpowered, sorry. Clans just have better pilots.

You must play a different TT then i did because I got tore up by lights in TT just as easily as I did by every other class. There was no such thing as "Derp I haz an Assault I winzzor!" In TT lights were equally as hard, if not harder to kill because of the rolls you had to make to hit the lil ******** if they used their full movement. My wife was famous in TT tourneys and scenario play of rolling natural 12's all the damn time in her Locust 3M and popping heads in 2 turns. Don't discount lights just because you can't counter them well.
Your anecdote is having to roll 12's all the time to win against assaults. Great.
We aren't even talking about assault here. We're talking about a seeking weapon that "guarantees" hits 70% of the time.

We've started using the Savage Worlds system of Initiative in BattleTech. Use a deck of cards; high card wins initiative. Draw the Joker, you win initiative and all pilot rolls get a -1 modifier. Works exceedingly well, and that comic reminded me of it.

Fair enough I didn't describe the situation completely.
Many times we shoot a whole alpha on the ACH and it runs off with little damage.. I'm talking about an alpha that can insta-kill an IS medium. But the ACH just runs around as if a mosquito bit it.
The meta for addressing light mechs is the streak SRM6's. But the streaks don't do damage quickly or highly enough. And against the shadowcat it is even harder to kill it before it kills you. And we already know Streak SRM6's are inefficient against all other mechs except small mechs. But here we have even the Streak6s struggling to kill these mechs.
Therefore the streak 6's need its damage increased, it won't involve rebalancing the ACH because people who paid money for it will cry out for it and that's unfair to them. So let a specifically built mech out there be able to be deployed, they're useless against other heavier classes but only good against these mechs. Make this specific build viable again.

The only solution to this is to up the damage of Streak SRM6's to at least double its current damage.
Right now people have been spending their entire ammo and all that achieves is killing is 2 or maybe 3 AC/SCs and leave us defenseless against same class or heavier mechs.
Doubling the damage of Streak SRM6's would make MWO matches fairer.
1. low post number - check
2. doubling of streaks - check

Lolwhat? Firestarters are still either the best or 2nd best light in the game, currently trading places with the Cheetah depending on loadout and role.
The Adder has 5x Energy hardpoints and punches harder than the Shadowcat, having the exact same tonnage available; 16.
I took my Adders out again yesterday with 5xERML+10DHS+TC1 and actually did really respectable damage, averaging 400-900 damage. I struggle to do that with my SCats.
SCats have the problem of being a light in a medium's body. They have slightly more armor, but it's not enough to keep them from getting slaughtered by players 1v1.

Streakcrow is a stormcrow with streak 6's.
Streakcrows can't be laser vomits. DO you mean to say laser vomit stormcrows?
Stormcrow laservomits aren't easy mode. The heat scales are harder to manage that most mechs out there.
Typo on my part.
And I own Stormcrows. I'm perfectly aware of their heat scales. Thats why you use their manoeuvrability to hit and dance behind cover to cool off between volleys.
But ignore the actual message behind my post. Thats cool too. I'm sorry your easy mode streak crow can't instantly kill light mechs.
I'm done feeding the troll now.

That's not an excuse.
Lighter mechs are supposed to be easier to kill, that's why they are cheaper to buy compared to the more expensive heavy mechs.
I don't have the numbers to back me up. Only from experience. I just know Firestarters either die or run. Shadowcats just keep fighting and face you on even though they are an overwhelming 5 tonnes lighter. Streakcrows out damage the shadowcats I find however their damage is too spread out so the 5 tonne lighter Shadowcat can take out a Stormcrow which is ridiculous.
No. It is not ridiculous.
It depends on loadouts, choice of weapons and the skill of the pilot. A Shadowcat is 10 tons lighter than a Stormcrow ... so usually the Stormcrow should have the better loadout. However, an ECM Shadowcat vs, StreakCrow means that the lock times are increased from an already long period. A good ECM Shadowcat will make it almost impossible for a StreakCrow to get a lock and keep it ... and will thus likely win the fight when combined with the random distribution of damage from streaks.
Which is as it should be ... there is no one all powerful build and the features of some mechs make them more powerful against others.
Which is better ... a Dire Whale or a Jenner? With a good Jenner pilot, I would take the Jenner 90% of the time .. it will get behind the Whale ... stay there and core it out from behind. On the other hand, the only reason that can happen is because the Dire Whale is stupid enough or unlucky enough to get caught alone without the support to keep the light mech off its back.
MWO is fun because of this dichotomy between mechs and builds where some can trump others in different situations or with different loadouts. So .... it is NOT ridiculous for a Shadowcat to beat a Stormcrow.
On the other hand, if there are hit box or registration issues then these should be addressed.
