For the first time in mwo, everyone that ordered the Jenner iic will receive the fastest 35 ton mech to be ever put into the game.

Going 145.8 KPH. And that's with basics. When elited, this mech can push it to the limits at 160.38 KPH. Not only is this mech going to have clan tech, but it will have a rather large amount of jump jets, 7 maximum for 3 variants, 10 maximum for one variant.

Now, let's go compare the Inner Sphere to the Clan in geometry.

Both seem similar in the torso and arms, except for a few things:

Unlike the Inner Sphere, the Clan variant has a trait called "chicken legs".

It's cockpit is different in shape and setup

It's torso details (above cockpit) are seemingly different, most likely for the extra missile hardpoint.

There will however, be two main problems with the clan version:

For variants with more than two missile hardpoints, since there is no more room for the extra missile, the missile weapon will be placed on the side of the platform for the weapon, which will cause "Catapult Syndrome"

Since it is now refitted with clan tech, the Jenner iic will not receive any quirks, negative or positive in that like the IS, little to no quirks were given. It also will still have a massive center torso, enforcing the "no nerfs needed" policy.

Nonetheless everyone will enjoy it, and this was something that was on my mind for awhile.

A short summary:

Jenner iic fastest 35 tonner starting december 15th (release date)

Jenner iic will receive no buffs or nerfs.

Jenner iic has most jump jets of any light, be it clan or inner sphere, save for the Spider -5V (Thanks lexx)

Jenner iic will have "catapult syndrome" (where if another missile weapon is placed it shall not fit within the weapon platform but outside of it instead).

Jenner iic a chicken walker!

EDIT: Spider 5V can mount 12.

You're forgetting the Wolfhound variant that goes the same speed.

Yes, with Clan Tech.

I don't think that'll go over well considering what the Wolfhound faces on hardpoints (IIRC, it was less than a Jenner-F).

Not as bad as the Catapult Syndrome, and I think it's safe to assume the IIC will just get the recycled Oxide hardpoints that were cut:

I should fix that cockpit and brighten it up...

It has 9 tons of pod space with nearly max armour (-8) and 0 JJs. So, Cheetah level pod space with 2 JJs running 160Kph.

Well, if the Arctic Cheetah wasn't enough to end the clanners whining about "IS LIGHTS OP", this thing sure will...

So... you're saying there's going to be an Oxide buff?

Doesn't the game engine have a hard speed limit of 117 kph?

"Sorry, we feel 6 SSRM2s are too powerful."

Take the Huggin with 6 SRM4s instead.

I was fine with this mech until I noticed it had a maximum of 10 jump jets. Just give this f***er ECM and be done with it.

And before you ask "does this mean other light mechs can have more jump jets too" the answer is no. You can't have more jump jets. Because reasons. Enjoy your 2 jump jets, Huginn pilots. lawl

By the way, the "Koshi" Mist Lynx pack was $10 more expensive than the Jenner IIC pack. Sure, the Mist Lynx pack only had 3 mechs instead of 4, but I would argue that the Mist Lynx is a lot better than the Jenner IIC anyway. The Hellbringer pack (9 mechs) was $10 more expensive than the Highlander IIC pack (16 mechs).

If you talk to me about the C-bill value of omnimechs, I will stab you.

I'm not bitter.

No, but the HSR (Host State Rewind) code can't handle mechs moving much more than 170 Kph.

Has anything been said regarding the IIC 'mechs and engine swapping/endo/ferro?

Will the Inner Sphere essentially be able to swap around engines all they want on these and add/remove ferro/endo and jets?

Yes - they are Clan Battlemechs not Omnimechs so they have full battlemech customization. Swap engines, endo/ferro, etc. Its just all Clan equipment. They are Clan mechs, not IS mechs.

On the bright side, only two robots will be any good.

HGN won't beat the Whale (but can do Atlas builds) and while the Orion IIC beats the IS Orion for firepower and survivability (2 extra tons of IS+A is just another alpha per ST, isXLs means only half of that is of any use), it most certainly won't beat the 2 Omni heavies, as they have considerably better hardpoints. Lack of separate ballistic locations really limit them, as they can't use Dual Gauss.

Jenner brings even faster cSPLs to your rear torsi, and the Hunch gives multiple nice options. Dual Gauss, Hexa MPL or ERML, Streak or SRM boat.
