It looks awesome but those low hardpoints...

Make it fast and make it tough. It isn't a sniper with those hard points, that is for sure.

Oh man, i wish we had some sort of customizable geometry.
I'd love an actual Rounded cockpit of the Battlemaster, adding actual fists to replace the clumsy claws on mechs like the Thunderbolt or Centurion, different Centurion head crests, different shoulder pads, HECK, even different colored cockpit-glass!

So cool

Soon...soon.

P.S. You would think as a reverse leg joint mech fan I would be most excited for the Crab, but for a humananoid mech, this thing looks AWESOME.

Every time see Alex's concept for the Black Knight...

Soon is not soon enough! :o

While cool, I've always thought this pic looks more 40k than BT.

If this mech comes into the game and has useable bear claws. Then I will change my name to Kodiak Jack.

USABLE bear claws?
I didn't even have them in Lore. The claws were only for aesthetics.
Since, you know, Clanners didn't like melee combat.

Quote from the Technical Readout:

Quote

While the Kodiak appears to mount claws on each hand—a nod towards a Totem ’Mech aesthetic—they are for show only.

It's disappointing. I really want melee in the game. It was one of the things I really liked in titanfall, someone gets in your face and you can punch the **** outta them.

Then again with the ups and downs of the animations in MWO, I don't know how PGI would handle it. We have some mechs like the Panther which have fantastic movement animations and then things like the Cheetah that move like a guy running for the toilet before he craps himself.

Ahh Titanfall.

A game where a pistol doesn't require aim to kill anybody and unless you have unlocked the poison smoke for your Titan, any schmuck can hop on top of your Titan and tear you apart.

Yea, I didn't care for that game too much. A couple weeks and I was done.

Mhm.
The quality of the mech animations is extremely inconsistent.
With some of the mechs having extremely fluid and believable animations (like the Panther, you mentioned, i'd also add old Chicken walkers like the Cataphract and the Catapult) when others seem stiff, awkward, floaty and anything in between (Every Clan Chicken walker that isn't the Mad Cat or the Vulture).

Yeah the smart pistol is an annoying weapon that's only downside is that it has to be used in close range. Dealing with people jumping on your titan is pretty easy though and electric smoke is not mandatory. For example, firing a cluster missile into a wall and then backing into it and crouching will kill the enemy pilot while dealing minimal damage to your titan. Another way is to crouch exit mech which lets you exit the mech much faster and shoot the guy off.

I played the game a month of two ago to check out the new ranked system. Was slaughtering a team full of golds, then they all switched to smart pistols and ran around auto headshotting everyone. Game was exited shortly after lol.

Can you imagine how awkward it'd look with those giant arms bent at a constant 90o angle, with its body straight and the legs moving as if the mech is prancing like a ballerina or even worse, floating on air, because animation is hard.

No offense to the animators at PGI, but some of the animations are REALLY bad.
(And some are REALLY good, like the Catapult)

Hmmm...Yum! Threw something quick together.

Those poor ballistic Hard points though...

Look like they are clogged with paint and mech bit from all that bumping and scrapping at the spawns. :P

Honeslty i wish all mech had a chance to be unique....even if it took 1,000,000 EXp and 5,000,000 cbills id love to have a chance to change the ACTUAL look and geometry of my mechs.

First thing to go would be the Sex toy arms on my SCRs.

Aye.
It's probably the floatiest of the lot.
It only looks good moving with a very small engine (while it uses its walk animation instead of its run animation)

The Arctic cheetah seems floaty too and so does the Cauldron Born. These are just the ones off the top of my head.

Another thing they could add for MC, is sound packs.
