I am glad you saw this. I got stuck in one and it just ruined the flow for the night. Thus I went to bed after 20 min without the mech I was working on. Yes it was out more then 15 min.

Im connecting to Oceanic from central Texas and have consistent ping rates 120 - 180 more than normal (in the 280-340 range) and myself experienced 3 disconnects with an inability to reconnect (once with locked mech ) three times yesterday in the 20 oceanic games played. And once more today (Aug 7, 2015) with the mech locked to the game.

I find it difficult to believe that only 30 or so games are involved with disconnects when there are so many persons in my drops and in my unit who have experienced the same within that same 24 hour period.

Stable on other servers. What's the fix? We just wait for y'all to fix it server side?

INSTANT FIX! turn off OC servers in match settings, end of issue,
why? the massive lag, im DEAD befor fini load in when it dosent crash out instead
far as im concearned if your ping is over 120, u need new computer or isp.
or just TURN OFF THE DAMNED CHAT CLIENTS/PORN and other damned downloads you cheaters.(forcing lag/pkt flood IS cheating)

So if you say its not systemic, and I've played 4 oceanic matches and had 2 of them crash-I guess I'm just unlucky?

will you extend the duration of the event? a few people cannot play this event due to the crashes

um yea only 3o times and I was on 6 of them--. I should avoid the lotto as I have used up all my luck

I've had several crashes, some disconnects - seen a lot of weird things out there....

However, I've also had lots of good games as well - in spite of the ping - the ping seems fine when everyone is lagging at the same time!

The new patch - well, we will leave that one alone until they patch it...

I've been disconnected from the oceanic server 6 times (not including attempts at rejoining) in the past 24 hours alone. I don't know if any of these have been match event disconnects, but it seems somewhat more prevalent than just 30 times.

I am in the Oceania region, with a ping time of about 160 to the OS, 210-220 to the NAS, and 260-280 to the ES.

What is going to be done about the current tournament, which relies heavily upon all the servers being reliable?

Had it happen 3-4 times at least before I got my 3 days premium and said enough.

I live in NA, so I have zero need or desire to ever use the OC server again, was only over there for the event, but it's so bad I have no motivation to go any further than I already have.

The high ping actually didn't cause all that much grief, it was the disconnects that were a major issue. Not submitting a ticket since I don't plan on using this server regularly, and it's already eaten enough of my time and energy. Plus it's obvious the server is kicking just about anyone who isn't local, so i don't feel too special.

The 'Mech used for that match will then remain locked from access until the standard match timer is expired." That figures to exactly One Percent. Yet yesterday it happened to me and locked my mech up for One (1) Hour. Upon rejoin (repeatedly including restarting my MWO game instance and after that 5 times restarting computer then again with an MWO restart) yielding the identical message "Disconnected from server" every time I noticed after an hour of that I still didn't have access to my Dire. So I just went and watched a movie. Came back later and all was well (such as it is). So still getting dropped off Oceanic at times but not with the whole disconnect cryptic message coupled with tying up my mech for an hour or more. Kinda making it hard to plow through the whole Oceanic challenge at that rate. Like one game every two hours when averaged out. And no I didn't try later as my time had run out and I had to do grown up things like prepare my clothes and tomorrow lunch for work and get my ass to bed. So I can work. So I can give more money to PGI (like I did less than 12 hours before the crashing, yeah myself and a few others were in that lucky One Percent) so I can buy more mechs to lock up for an hour at a time while a clock ticks on a challenge. With all the people I personally know that got caught in the GOC (Great Oceanic Crash) it's funny that a One Percent crash problem affected far more than One Percent of the people I know in this game... Kinda sucked. Guess we were all GOC suckers.

So where's the benefit of splitting the playerbase when even the guys living over there STILL got 160ms latency? I know it's better than nothing, but going from 220ms (NA) to 160ms (OC) doesn't seem that much of a big deal.

Furthermore: he plays on the EU-Servers with 280ms latency, EU people playing on the oceanic server rank from ~180ms to over 400ms, and lots of lagspikes and disconnects on top of it.
Something seems really wrong with your routing in the OC-region and/or your servers. I for myself got 300ms latency on top of the usual latency during a few hops whilst routing through a Honkong-based internet provider en route to your servers.

Disconnect to MechLab, cannot Rejoin.
Interesting bit, if I log out then log back in OR close client and restart it, then choose Rejoin, I get sent to a different match entirely!
Not only sent to a different match and map, I then get sent back to MechLab from that one too!

Yakk, please understand that this response is not helpful in any way.

Those of us who have been playing on NA server from the Oceania/Asia/Pacific region for two or more years have been dealing with 200+ ping ... this is with a year-old PC with upper tier components and one of the most reliable ISPs in a location that is just about as close to trans-Pacific fiber as is available.

This is not about the high ping experience, it's about seemingly random server instability.

Same for me. Four matches, 2 disconnects. Seems they're underrepresenting it somehow, or it's escalating. Maybe not logging the disconnects properly.

Yes...I have Verizon FiOS with 75/75 and I need a new isp. Thanks for the helpful tip.
