Yes, there are 'good' PUG pilots, and Yes, there are 'bad' units....but both are the exception, not the rule.

I would also submit that those 'good' PUG pilots would win more games, kill more enemies, and die less if they teamed up with other 'good' PUG pilots (form and / or join a unit).

There is no such thing as a 'good' solo pilot, because no one ever drops solo in this game (FACT).

I enter the Queue alone, im a Solo, but can still be a Teamplayer. I enter the Queue in a Group, im a Part of a Premade and can still suck as Team.

The game is a PvP only game designed to be teams of players Vs teams of players. If you don't like the idea of playing in a unit (you know...joining a team) why are you playing this game?

Joining a [Unit] and joining a team is NOT the same thing.

What do Factions mean to you?

Can you be a "team player" if you are queuing up for the game with VoIP turned off, text chat turned OFF? Tell us....how does that work? How do you hear orders? How do you communicate where you made contact, how many there are, what they are?

I know, I know....YOU have YOURS on, and you use them every game....RIGHT? Everyone else is too....RIGHT?

Tell me how a tutorial about how to find, join, and play as a team with teammates would be bad for this community.

Factions to me:
Factions consist of political, corporate, quasi-religious, and secular interests ranging from interstellar dynasties to industry conglomerates.

You can join a faction, but that doesn't doesn't mean you are dropping with teammates. Wolf is one of the better Factions when it comes to providing tools and resources for all Wolf members (both units and dropping PUG) to hook and and play the game as a team....it is the TS Wolf Faction Hub....tell me again, what is the hostname / password for the Wolf's Faction Hub Nathan?

There is VOIP and Faction Chat. Why do I need TS so much?

Your using VoIP to communicate with your Wolf teammates....Tell me again, what is the hostname / password for the Wolf's Faction Hub Nathan?

1. I never told you a first time.

2. What? (If this is for TS, I never use TS.)

PGI should check out World of Tanks.

A single battle for a piece of land each 24h
Just playable with clan/unit
1 unit vs 1 unit
Chipcount for defending/attacking

Their way is way better and also it's more an ENDGAME.

This is imho missing in CW, it's not an endgame for elite players.
It should be and should also be rewarded accordingly.

That VoIP client that is running in MWO, that is Team Speak. That had to put it into the game because people like you won't install it on your own.

VoIP doesn't kick in until pilots are already loaded in the drop ships at the start of the match...and does nothing to help you select the right drop deck to complement what the rest of your team is taking during the 60 seconds you have from once the map you are dropping on has been selected unit you are loaded in the drop ship at the start of the match.
___________________________________

You clearly have never been on a team, so no one can fault you for not understanding WHY "Teamwork = OP". So I will issue you a challenge....download Team Speak (its free) and come join me on ts.mercstaralliance.com (no password)....let me give you the tour of what a team looks like (we have 14+ individual units who work together as mercenary unit in community warfare).

Let me show you how the other side lives so to speak...THEN...tell me how PGI has given you, the 'solo' player, all the tools and resources you need to compete against those who play the game as it has been designed to be played.

Sorry if I came off like an a$$hat, not my intent, and I do so believe you my friend....my point is that while YOU do, I know many who do not (you can tell who has VoIP turned off in the loading screen, by pressing/holding TAB, and on the end screen.....don't believe me when I say many don't....check for yourself).

Playing with blinders on (no VoIP, no chat, no TS, no teammates) is bad enough in the public queues, but doing it in community warfare is setting yourself and 23 other people, up for headaches and heartbreaks.
_____________________________________________________________

MWO is a PvP...team Vs team....game, but outside of a single tooltip that says: "Teamwork = Victory" PGI has done a poor job of encouraging teamwork.

Create a tutorial about how to find, join, and work with teammates...reward people for completing tutorial in some way.

Make planets mean something to both Factions that take/keep them AND the Units that tag them for the factions.

Promote actual teamwork, so the PvP...team Vs team...game that PGI has created are actually teams against teams instead of teams against PUGs.

There are many of us who are in a unit, like myself, however, on a regular basis the unit does not have enough players on to make a full CW group. The alternatives are either, group with other players in a faction group, or hope to have a couple solos fill the team so we can drop at all. That's why I don't mind a randoms filling the teams so that matches can happen. Yes I use TS. We have our own. Also if there's a faction group, the leader will call out the hosting server. I also use VOIP and talk with those not on the TS.

The problems are multifold.

Having CW with teams? Not the problem. Having CW with no niche for small groups/soloers? Problem. Quite simply, when CW depends on the most difficult things- organized, large groups - for 100% of it's content...it doesn't function well at all.

When CW rewards faction-hopping instead of loyalty and stuffing everyone into one faction for maximum sealclubbing of baby newbs, CW fails.

It's not like we haven't gone over that here *checks sig* since CW 1.0 and the obvious flaws were pointed out, right?

Like... what?? Rather, beginners have left because of the the seal-clubbing ROFL-stomps that PGI let happen because they would not bear Units to play all by themselves, which would basically look like this (and it looked like that in the NA primetime yesterday evening as well...)

You didn't even read my post. I was talking about how it WAS and how it WOULD be again and you come up with how it IS and how it WILL always be.

Since when is speaking truth wrong? I can name at least individual 100 pilots, and 10 full units who stopped playing CW because the 'community' was horrible at playing 'community warfare' as a team.

Add another 150 pilots or 85% from my unit.

2 days ago we had a counter attack on Sulfurous Rift with 8 from our unit and 3 pugs managed to destroy any attempt to coordinate. We wanted to attack with 2 lances from Alpha and 1 lance from Beta, communicated with the whole team via VOIP and text. Before we could gain a defensive position, those 3 pugs just ran into the enemy and died. The enemies saw their opportunity and pushed out, killing both lances before our 3rd lance was even in the base, effectively losing the whole wave. When we were gaining grounds again, almost balanced out and were grouping up for the next wave, one of these pugs ran out of cover into the enemy and spoiled our surprise attack. Before we could attack with our 4th wave, he complained that we needed more coordination.
He had VOIP turned off ..

Yes Last night when I was dropping solo and the group of players I ended up with one every match I was near the top or the top player every game... clearly I should not be allowed to solo drop.... I think I averaged around 1800 damage and 8 kills a match... Enough for a gold star in MS I hear... lol

I tried to drop one time in a four man for this magical clan ghost bear event with 4 million c-bills at stake, and a 12 man completely ruined our little pug rag tag army. Do 12 man's deliberately feed off of others for these events? The odds were very uneven. If I had my unit the outcome would have been like chuck Norristown fighting mr. T but instead it was more like a bunch of college kids attacking a preschool.

And your win % for games against teams with 8+ players from the same unit? Anyone can put up damage...how do your 'rainbow drops' fare against real TEAMS? You win the matches 9 out of 10, 6 out of 10, 3 out of 10 times?

do you not get a little ticked off when you have 2 or 3 perma dead when your team has only lost 25 mechs?
