Aren't they supposed to be "half naked" inside the cockpit to mitigate the heat?

Every book I've read says they wear a cooling vest shorts and army boots! Still a big improvement!

It looks 100 times better. I can overlook a couple lore nitpicks.

If this were the case you'd be running around watching half the team staring nose-down at the dirt.

One of the sillier aspects of Battletech lore.

Exposed skin in a cramped cockpit covered in hot surfaces is a very, very bad idea.

Mechwarriors sitting in their underwear with boots and a vest is one of the sillier aspects of Battletech, which PGI figured they should probably ignore. By the way, it gets really, really hot in a tank sometimes too! Do you think tank crews strip down to their underwear and go to war wearing only boots?

I can think of a number of reasons why underwear and a cooling vest is a bad idea, even in fiction.

Hopefully, PGI will monetize the new pilot model and sell different texture packs for MC, and also let these be rewards in CW.

Heh, we used the exact same phrase by accident.

It's not silly! I'd like to roleplay lore-correct Natasha Kerensky Posted Image

Hope that they will follow your idea of selling female models and half nekkid texture.

Then you should know that someone only wearing underwear is not even something worth mentioning. :D

Hey, I've seen some sh*t, but I still wouldn't be wearing underwear to war. Ever burn your naked thighs on leather seats in the summer? Not to mention that mechwarriors, like tank crews, are sometimes forced to leave their vehicle. In that situation, a bullet-proof thong isn't going to help that much!
