As seen here in the weekend update video. https://www.youtube....0&v=oabKwwOuMIY

Due to protruding torsi and lack of good arm shielding, it is gonna be like the Stalker for sure, with reliance on Std engine. (or maybe the entire thing is CT, which means XL is great) Which is just fine since it is an energy mech. But how in the nine-hells is that back tumor gonna workout for its hitboxes? :o I smell a lot of armor/internals quirks incoming.

Sweet legs though. First in MWO, I believe. And the claw can be presumably opened and closed.

What do you guys think?

The Stalker has naturally high mounts (also the last mech to go through the "Legomech" system), so I don't think it'll hold that much stay... except maybe the JJ variant (the 4th variant).

I like the design they showed. I think the flat version looked good too:

But this retained more of the original look and it has grown on me

Youch, that is one big side profile :(

In the end though it comes down to the final product before I will make my judgment.

Looking good though.

It is the only mech in R2 I am interested in, and the model looks really cool. Questionable hitboxes, but it looks really unique.

The only thing bothering me is that the right and left claws are different, I prefer how the King Crabs claws are the same for either the right or left arm. Just my small nitpick, otherwise it looks great (though its hitboxes will be pretty interesting).

Oh never mind, the left arm fist looked so much like a claw I thought PGI inverted the claw arm and put it on the left.

Judging from this it looks like both arms get the shield claw.

Regardless of hitboxes, the model looks extremely well done. R2 may be lackluster in terms of weapon variety, but I think in the long run the mechs will be enjoyable.

Gonna need more Armor/IS than the Nova, and the Nova has insane quirks. That side profile is basically the worst think a medium could ask for since the only thing keeping a medium alive is its ability to spread damage usually. The Stalker works because it's an assault and also has super nice mounts. Crab is DOA, but man does it look cool

Not a big fan of the cockpit sticking out.

I'm also afraid of its scaling. The only other 50 tonner that has a similar profile is the Nova, and we all see how abnormally oversized it is.
I'll definitely wait until i see size comparisons and in-game footage, before even thinking of buying it.

crab has 2 energy hardpoints in the torso and 1 in in the head [fxd -_-], those are pretty high placed too

Practically all mediums are big, so it's par for the course.

I'd argue that the Hunchback and the Enforcer are pretty much perfect, scaling wise. Both, when compared to other weight-classes and to each other.

This is my primary concern. Though, if it shares the same size as the Hunchback It should be ok.

A great addition to mech profiles on the field. Adds to the character of mechs and one of the best for that in a while.

Yep, it took me a while to tell the difference between Battlemaster and Banshee, when they first came out. :P

Crab, I will have no problem recognizing.

The head hardpoint is the only one that is actually high. Yay for a highmounted ML/MPL....

Seriously though, head hardpoints don't really count unless you are in a Clan mech and can put an ER LL in the head.
