4 on 4 small scale CW matches are sorta announced for a while now.

fine, so once again, the sharping is NOT working. (portraits are NOT fixed)

1280x720 textures = high. Right image is SHARP, left image is CRAP.

changed color, saved, changed color, saved again. Not a single improvment. Is not repaired, like you promised.

Hey if we had to run the repair tool before applying the patch I would have appreciated it. I could barely see anything after patching and my counter was stating 300 fps.......

I've been a big proponent of Elo since the beginning and Elo is still viable - as an indicator of how likely someone is to help their team win a match.

However I agree with the change to the new system. Why?

Pug/group queue are not about winning. They ARE about farming. That is why teams will ignore a cap warning to get another kill before losing. Win/loss doesn't motivate people in pug queue, that is why pug/group queue play is so terrible.

The problem with Elo for pug/group queue was that its expectations were too high. We need a system that has expectations low enough to match player behavior. That's this, it's based on ranking you by your cbills/hour performance which is what motivates people to play in pug/group queue.

If you care about winning you play in cw. Soon as it stops sucking.

How do we figure out what tier we are in?

Yeah I thought we were going to be able to see what tier we were in and vote if we wanted it posted public. Sigh cockpit glass let down all over again.

Tiers and PSR's are not yet accessible, privately or publicly.

The portrait resolution fix unfortunately did not make it into this patch. It's currently set for next patch.

From the Known Issues in this patch section of the patch notes:
  • 'Mech portraits may appear blurry if the client was running below 1080p resolution when the portrait was saved

Maybe with score being more important than the dreaded Kill-to-Death-Ratio (KDR) we can expect to see people going out in a blaze of glory rather than lurking around the map trying to protect their precious KDR ?

Losing while hiding scores less than taking out a few components and or Mechs on the way out.

I think I'll come back to MWO if and when co-op/single player campaign make an announcement.

This ELO(PSR) does not fix the Carry Harder issue that makes the game a job to play instead of entertainment.

What did they list in the patch? And 1280x720 is 720p, not 1080p.

First impression of the new Forest Colony-

It's freakin' awesome. Huge, tons of cover, different paths, seems like it has a lot of potential. Lot of fun first drop on it.

Gonna take forever to learn the ins-and-outs of the map, but that's ok, that's half the fun.

They never said we'd be able to see it, just that it was implemented.


There was to be a vote on whether we can see it, not that it would be visible. Reading helps.

Accessibility to the users is not implemented. The system is on. The Patch Notes and the post were pretty clear on this. Tina will setup a poll to see if it will be private or public (when she gets back from her well deserved time off :( )

Have no opinion on new player ranking system. Like what I saw of the re-done Forest Colony map, it's very well made. However, I still have one little problem with it. Instead of removing the cave, IMO, you should have made a branching cave network under parts of the map. That way the cave could have stayed and it would no longer be a "point A to point B" choke point. You missed an chance to do something no other map has right now by adding in a larger underground component. Just a little constructive criticism there. Otherwise it's very nice and I like it.
