So we'll end up with expert spotters providing targets for LRM boats who shoot the scenery before running out of ammo, and elite scouts locating the enemy team for pugs who'll ignore the information and run in a nascar circle until they die anyway? Sounds highly rewarding for lights and a great encouragement of role warfare.

I doubt it. I see good teams perform terribly all the time and I know I have my share of disappointing results. Then you will have people jumping into new mechs or playing the game after drinking a little too much. Matchmaker can only do so much.
You're also going to see plenty mediocre vets who refuse to accept they are mediocre complaining that they're surrounded by mediocrity.

However, aren't they taking what 'mech I'm piloting into account when calculating scores and making matches? That seems like a terrible, terrible mistake if so. As we all know all too well, not all 'mechs are equal; some are very much more equal than others.
I would hope that once they're done with their new system for 'mech ratings (the one for the re-Quirkening), that 'mech value would also be used in the matchmaking formula, so that finally both my skill as a pilot and what 'mech I am piloting makes a difference.
If the system just replaces win/lose ratio with match score, it's not much of an improvement.

I think that's a bit erroneous.
At higher levels of play, Light pilots are expected to very specific at when to show up.
Scouting/spotting is actually really an undervalued thing in general, but nearly pointless at higher level play after mechs have been spotted (and I don't mean the scouting bonus, I just mean actually finding the enemy).
So, those that are heavy handed on the scouting front will actually be punished for "peeking".

it's impossible to be constantly carried in soloq; the first thing which they had to do it's separating solo and group ratings

so if your support build is doing its job then it will be increasing your teams chance to win
thus your scores will go up more often
so if you support your butt off and still lose you can still rise in rank
are you silly? some people in conquest/assault can carry games with like 10-20 score, or they get 0 on the loss
those tactics may die now
scouting is not generally rewarding now too, too much risk to die early with a bad score

but if they make that e-peen optionally visible and people will frown upon at those who doesn't show theirs and poor low elo pilots will cry in a corner and leave their commandos for timber wolves
I don't care about making them public, I would like to see my own for the reasons Jman5 said.

Since it was not stated, I'm assuming that we are stuck with the four scores: Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault for now.

So if you're piloting a light mech and really ARE scouting (rather than just running around far away from the team doing nothing at all really), you're going to get all your requisite scoring bonuses and a decent skill level to boot.

new pilot rating system is here as of tomorrow
best part is its retroactive from January 2015 stats
so there will likely still be chaos , but the nice smooth type of chaos

Its actually not because poptarting (gundam wing online) isn't the thing any more.
You would have to replace it with something like alpha vomit online and then it would apply again.

can you explain me, if they can make a super objective hidden score why the visible match score is so crappy
