The last night (USA prime time) was amazing. We had fast and mostly balanced matches.

Though at EU noon, the search times were horrible. We were getting anywhere from 10 to 20 minute searches for about 2 hours or so. It has stabilized towards the afternoon though. We're averaging about 3-5 minutes now.

At least these hours long queue times (~8 minutes), except when I was running my Nova. Haven't tried the group queue yet.

Otherwise...

I haven't played enough games to know for sure but so far pretty much the same.
12-6 win and 12-0 loss. The first match was about 6 minute queue time while the second was more reasonable.

The 12-0 loss was on the new forest colony and at least half had no idea where to go. Team was reasonably grouped but we lost a couple and then a death ball push rolled over us while people seemed to look around wondering where the fire was coming from.

Also, is there some way to turn off terrain in the new forest colony? Some folks seemed to have no trouble seeing and firing through the trees while I couldn't even see them even using heat vision.

Edit:

3rd match: 12-11 win ... really good :)

The next bunch were in the 12-1:3 ... mix of wins and losses. Pretty typical. No noticeable improvement in matchmaking quality.

Most likely they had ECM spotters.

I can say I'm pretty happy with matches I had.
No brain dead behaviours, no steering wheels. Everyone was doing (or trying to do) something.

Longer waiting times, but if I enjoy more the game, it's ok.

I got killed by you last night Sulla. Actually ended up in about 6 matches with EMP and 228 both with and against. Some wins and losses. I have to say. After about the 4th hour of playing. Matches started going better. I was getting better players and teams to fight with/against. My opinion of the new MM is getting better. The matches overall were pretty exciting towards the end of the night. I logged off around 11:30 MST

Apparently many of you didn't take statistics... I've been trying to tells folks this forever. Match-making doesn't cure stomps.

Stomps are quite literately a statistical outcome as a result of compounded force strength over combat loss attrition.

In short, for every loss a team takes that the opposing team doesn't it's force strength reduces and the opposing teams increases...

Yeah, I know... You think better players playing with better players would mitigate stomps. Problem is this doesn't change statistical math. ;)

Video options. Environment on low. Lets you see through solid rocks sometimes.

NO. This is ill advice. You need environment on Very High so you see the terrain as should so you can fire your weapons accordingly.

I noticed no change. Still saw 12-0 or 12-1, 0-12 or 1-12 matches. Closest match I can think of was a 12-7.

Or use common sense :P
As you say it's inevitable. The fact that we have 12 vs 12 also increase the chance of a stomp when compared to 8 vs 8.
While 1 or 2 kills are less in percent in 12vs12 the greater number of players make getting into 1 v 2+ situations more likely and thus increasing the edge even more until the stomp is completed.

Wait, if they changed the way match score was calculated, and use match score to determine PSR, then wouldn't everyone have a crap PSR because match scores were much lower prior to the patch? Or did they adjust for that.

No. Why don't people read patch notes?

They said that they've been running the PSR system in the background since January, so your rating is right now what it would be if you had been playing with PSR for over eight months.
