People buying mechs for quirks. Oh the tears, it will be so glorious. I'll prepare my popcorn and my fishing boat so I can sail across the river of sorrow and hate.

For me it looks like Steam is their target to survive after MWO vansihed from so many gaming pages.

Regeal PGI has not learnd any lessen from tho Funders debacle and all the other bad things they did in the past, including ignoring forums. Bad treatment of your customers ruins a companies reputation on a much bigger scale and longer time.

Problem with Steam is that it's either going to save MWO and boost it or just generate more negativity and uncertainty over the game. All going to depend on how PGI is able to work on MWO leading up to it.

I don't understand why will people complain if their quirked mecks get changed.
Even those only available for MC at a certain time.

People have bought and used the mechs in all their glory.
Also by buying mechs with real cash they are supporting PGI on their game development.
So even if the mechs were changed to be ridiculously underpowered, those who bought them can rest assure their money was well spent on keeping this game going.
And we all thank you!

People should also know that, by installing the game they agree that PGI has the last word on balance and mechs.

So here is to a new era of balance and the hopes that it gets closer to what we all really want (not just a few but all mechs viable and more variety on the battlefield).

I am really happy that they make an ambitious move on balance, but I am concerned when they do not mention anything about tech balance, while saying that there will be no more super quirks... So I am not convinced. No whining, just concern.

In general new balance is fun, then you need to figure things our again, that will be refreshing!

You must really be dense if you don't get why some mechs need large quirks to even be viable/playable.

Same usual stuff. Wrap it up with some nice words and announce them as new and amazing.

Just temporary. Untill rebalance and or Maulers comes out for c-bills.

Been testing today with some builds for the Atlas guide. Video's will come later this year to shortened the guide. Videos are better then a thousand words.

Fingers crossed that the Atlas don't get shafted again. If then, i don't know what i am going to do.

LOL
Pardon my laughter but...

That's a narrow-minded way of seeing things. The game and the mechs aren't about quirks. That system shouldn't even exist!
Now if you said something about HitReg, Hitboxes, Geometry, Convergence I'd taken you seriously.
