I'm just trying to forget about it until the announcement email shows up. Until then I'm trying to beat Xcom on I/I just to pass the time until Xcom 2, Fallout 4, and Star Wars Battlefront come out, and after that I'll have so much to keep me preoccupied I'll be all like hey I forgot all about the new battletech game! And it'll be like Christmas.

Man, I'm kinda lucky I never got heavily into Fallout. Halo 5, Battlefront, X-com 2 on top of all the games like MWO and League I play consistently and any others I haven't finished yet (Just got the Gears Ultimate Edition).

Gonna be a busy fall. So lucky I've got a GF who is okay with my gaming habits.

Yes.
The fact that it takes place in 3025 (which is easily THE BEST ERA, and don't dare arguing with me).

No way! 3131 all the way man!

Yea, I'm not serious :). Anything Pre-Clan would be a good change of pace really.

Not going crazy because I know Heavy Gear Assault will be here first to tide me over. If they do their arena combat right with the right spectator tools, it could be the esports mwo wish it was.

I wish I could put Corporate logos for the manufacturer of my Gauss Rifle and medium lasers on my mech. I mean if solo queue is nascar, then we should look the part.

I would love to but I have already sunk so much into MWO there's no going back and I can only afford one girlfriend at a time.

My girl is the reason I only got the Jenner IIc pack instead of the Highlander :P Oh well, it's not like I don't already have more mechs than I could ever practically use.

shame the concept of a a Unit based "Mech Pool" never got implemented, where you could pool your unloved and unused chassis in a community chest where your unit mates could use them,

So far heavy gear assaults mechs look like the stay puffed marshmallow man with guns... that's not good.

But yes I am excited about this one.

Heavy Gears always looked like that...they are based off of VOTOMs, which are mean to be more "believable" than visually AWESOME. Though they are also closer to Power Armor than Mechs

My memory of the Heavy gear franchise had them only slightly less blocky than BT. Not marshmallow man round.

Depends on the Gear. You can customize any of them to different shapes in HGA, too.

seems they have done a great job on Shadowrun
I loved the old Shadowrun game for SNES, but I was a little disappointed in the new game, it just feels too linear and shallow, although the old game is pretty linear I guess I have higher expectations from a new game.

Yeah that's an interesting idea. Right now there just isn't much to flesh units out. I know it's a work in progress but I'd like to see more development there.

I dont get why everyone is so excited about MWO PvE or other campaign type games. These days I don't even play the single player most games ship with. I just go strait to the multiplayer.

because some of us find campaigns more interesting than repetitive Team Deathmatch? Hard to believe, I know, but not everyone enjoys the same things you do.... or me, or anyone else.

Planning a classic GM-driven BT campaign for the weekend, so at the moment the itch is scratched. But oh, I will definitely be forking over some money for this kickstarter.

PvP games are "time wasters" for me when I have 30 to 90 minutes of spare time. PvE campaigns require more dedication, strategic planning, emotional investment, resource management and tactical savvy but also take hours and it's hard to find a big block of time to invest in them.

Southern Gears are the ones that look like they are retaining water.

Roll in a Northern ride and you'll be angular and edgy. Jaguar/Tiger for a big'un, Cheetah for fast and light. Hunter if you're a total BA.

Run HAC in one hand and LAC in the other. Ensure you have adequate storage for all the tears you harvest.

I play hga every night.
