have you ever seen a trailer? it's the truck which carries and steers it, not the trailer itself

check the pick which i posted, its wheels cannot steer it too

it's a trailer, probably for carrying standing mechs

If it's a trailer, why the headlights? Also, a trailer with wheels in front of the pivot point? That's a trailer you won't be able to steer. Unless the thing is backwards, and those "exhaust nozzles" are really the front, then this thing is a relic for the terribly engineered solutions to things that aren't actually problems pile.

I hate it when "futuristic" = "has to look so different that it doesn't make any sense"

Yeah the trailers or hauler is not going to be able to turn when its flanked by the massive yellow thing's wheels

to light the road
it's probably tugged by a rather low tractor or something, note that that trailer is actually huge, those headlights are sitting on the height of more than 2.5 meters or so

how do you know where the pivot point is...
hint, the place where its bulk ends isn't the only place, it could be attached to a lorry at the end of those 'thills'

How do you think ATVs with fixed wheels steer?

Based on knowledge from Mechwarrior 2, 3, 4 and battletech.

1) A vehicle made for reloading mechs/ equipment or to carry said equipment safely.
2) A vehicle made to tow trailers, cargo, etc. basicly an industrial/ military tractor.
3) ICBM transporter. (Trust me... this looks nearly identical to the ICBM transporter in MW4)
4) Target dummy (they got a lot of vehicles specifically for target practice in MW4 and lil bit in MW3)
5) All terrain vehicle.
6) coolant truck.

using logic here- I would assume the wheels work simular to a "tank", 1 half goes reverse and other half goes forward, thus spinning it. It doesn't look like a race car with a need for speed so the speed of this isn't required.
Thick wheels enable this thing to get into very thick mud and rough terrain and the width of it also allow it to not sink in the sand, mud, silt, etc. The cap between the 'front' 2 wheels and rear 4 wheels may mean those 'beams' can pivot up and down to enable it maximum ability and stability when going on rough terrain and looking at it's wheels- the treads specifically, it looks like it has high cleat tires best for mud and off road work instead of on road.

The spotlights are for lights (obviously) and those 'rear turbo jets' mentioned a few pages back can be possible exhausts, storage spaces, or meant to connect iwth other things- this may be a form of Coolant Truck to resuply mechs with coolant and such.

This is talking from a perspective from my knowledge of handeling with vehicles with the shreds of knowledge I know

this thing looks like some kind of airport equipment, like one of those vehicles they use to taxi aircraft away from the gate till they can move on engine power.

those things on the back could be electromagnets to drag away mech salvage. so some kind of salvage vehicle would be another guess. could also be some kind of mech support equipment. it looks pretty heavy duty, far beefier than the trucks around it (which look equivalent to container trucks which should be able to haul many tons). perhaps an ammo truck, ammo is really heavy.

It just blows my mind, the thing doesnt look like it can do anything besides drive in a straight line, theres no way the front wheels can steer the vehicle

im thinking in hub steering, sorta like what is done on forkless motorcycles. each wheel can be steered independently based on vehicle loading. while it totally looks like something a lego noob would build out of technics, it could very well conceal the workings for a steering system.

i dont think its skid steering. the wheel base is too awkward, it would need a wider spread and a shorter vehicle length. also the tread pattern on the tires is all wrong for skid steering.

Why does everyone thin you could not steer that? It could be driven in the same manner as tracked vehicles.

Only if you are slipping wheels like crazy whenever you want to turn.

Trailer wheels go at the back, or else it won't pivot.

Please explain how attaching at the "t-hills" (I assume you mean the things jutting out the side at the top - the "wings" for lack of a better term?) would help you tow the thing. What kind of attachment are you using? I really am curious as to what you could come up with to tow that thing and be able to steer it.

There are 6 and 8 wheel ATVs on the market today that steer by lever just like a tank, bulldozer, etc. You pull the right lever it locks the right side wheels and you turn right.

For a moment there I thought I was browsing mods for farming simulator 15. I need to take a break from that game.

The object is unrelatable to anything in real life. No windows, no doors, no indication of what it actually does. Just headlights and a wheel that do not steer except straight

Its function is ambiguous, Its scale is ambiguous and it just looks straight up terrible. Theres no relatable queues, the fidelity is bad. They put it everywhere in the tutorial and it just muddies up an otherwise quality product

Seriously bro don't you know anything?
That's a mech porta-potty.
Got put that unused coolant somewhere :D
