Show me a Forum period. I can think of 2 (political) one is gone (Alas), the other I'm one of the Mods. Both are the same 1. small 2. Mods don't allow Flaming.
Many people have problem expressing their anger/disappointment correctly..ie without name calling. Combine that with the anonymity of the net...and you've got what you've got.

Best thing to do (IMHO) is shine them on. Life is to short to be bothered by people like that.

Progress depends upon the loudest and most coherent voice.
The loudest and most coherent voice in MWO is typically composed of bottom tier, kneejerk reactionaries who never bother with anything more than extremely superficial & flawed analysis based attempts at problem solving.
In that one might say progress in MWO (or lack thereof) is merely a reflection of its fanbase and community. Much in the way progress in government and the civilized may in ways be a mere reflection of its respective populace.

Cant we all just agree that while we may vehemently disagree, were all on the same side here. Were the consumers. Theyre the producers. How about we at least stick together.

Well there was a coherent voice loud voice. And we ignored him.
In Vassago We Trust. No fun allowed.

He's like the Giordano Bruno of MWO.
I feel like Hegel, trying to keep his legacy alive.

Everything he said would happen with CW happened. Every single thing. Group stomps, space rich, lack of interest, not compelling, missteps with the maps, bad rule set, resets tho they didnt want them. He was like an oracle...with a really terrible attitude. Space Grump will be missed.

A regular Jeremiah or Jonah. Well, at least Jonah saw the city of Ninevah heed his warnings and be spared from destruction. So more like Jeremiah I guess.

Yes the game is in a much better state since PGI got rid of IGP, but there is a still a long way to go to reacquire player trust in PGI. They are making gains, but there was a LOT of bad blood for a very long time.
I too started in Closed Beta (August 2012) and remember some of the promises and the hostility on the forum. It has gotten much, much better. The best way to improve the forum would be for PGI to get some dev's back on here, actively posting and responding. But the single most important thing would be for PGI to stop lieing, or veiling the truth, or whatever you want to call it. If you make a pronouncement that doesn't come true, admit your mistake, apologize and let us all move on together.
MWO is a great game, and it is getting better. I want the forums to be a well-populated place where players and devs are all welcomed.

Seems like the perfect thread for it, though. It's like a neat little microcosm of everything that's wrong with this forum community.
It was a great video... i especially loved the atlas wall..
What was wrong about it was the 24 v 24... it was good for the wow effect but had no place in an official trailer... you have to give buddah dat.
