It's coming today, I pinged russ on twitter and he confirmed it. No idea what time, but if it's consistent with when patches are typically released, it'll be another several hours.

As far as I know, all variants will be available for cbills today..

Q: Will the early adopter variants also be available for purchase in-game with MC or C-Bills?
Yes. The early adopter variants will be available for purchase in-game on the same dates that the other three Variants are made available, according to the above release schedule.

From the FAQ. I'm actually surprised they did it that way. I figured they would release the bonus variants in the gift store for MC for a couple months. Glad they didn't go that route. I might give the Executioner a go.

Gift store requires money, not MC (although, technically it's the same ultimately).

They already have the Cauldron Born and Executioner 4th variant in the Gift Store for a while now (oddly, not the Shadowcat or Arctic Cheetah 4th variant).

The Executioner seems like a cool mech, but I need to exercise patience and wait for the Ebon Jaguar...whenever that is available for C-Bills.

They are skipping patch day for next week.

There is no patch today.

It's usually the 1st+3rd of the month, but for whatever reason (Labor Day perhaps), it is moved to next week.

"Unlocking" chassis and omnipods is a server side change anyways unless it requires the mechs to be in the data (if it's already there, it's just a "0" aka disable/"not make available" and "1" aka enable/"make available").

My brain knows this, but sometimes my hands type things without consulting my brain. Usually I catch it in proofreading or editing, but some things slip through. My brain wasn't aware of those variants being in the gift store already though, so that was news.

It does? To me it seemed questionable at best, which is why I held out for the cbill release. I really didn't want a Gargles 2.0 collecting dust in my mech bays.

I do like the Ebon though, it's one of my favorite heavies. It isn't as good as the Timber, but it can do lots of cool builds though. I don't regret getting it. It's not quite as niche as say the SHC, so it's easier for me to recommend it to people who aren't me.

Gauss up high in anything is nice....The downfall is only room for one in the ST and Energy mounts in arms are low compared to the gauss/B hardpoint.

The D with 3 LPL's and some supplemental lasers in very nice too....2 LPL's in the torso and i think one in the arm. Masc is a lot of fun in this thing for peek a boo.

Laser vomit with decent MASC functionality made it seem like it would be at least interesting to use.

I am more interested in the EBJ because it just reminds me of a Clan version of a Catapult K2/Jester, and I like those mechs as it is.

Finally, this mech might not be the most optimal in terms of tonnage avalible or hardpoint placement, but Sexicutioner is a very apt name, can't stop looking at it in the mechlab!.
