I made a model of the Crab battlemech based on the concept art.
I'm also planning to put up the files shortly, so that people can use the model for their own purposes.
Ok now give us the Marauder please

Seriously
you have no idea how much I wanted to do that very thing, and even abandon the Flea I'm almost finished.
the concept for that marauder is so cool. I've already gathered all the versions of the concept art I could find, even raiding the purchase page today.
I want to.
but I probably have a few other time commitments coming up.
It's likely to turn into a slow side project, and not be the 1-2 week jobs the crab and flea were.
I really enjoy making these, and this isn't the first time I've modeled mechs specifically to print and play battletech with (something I've done regularly for most of 25 years).

the goal here is that they'll use me.
I don't think the Flea makes sense in the game at the moment. yes, MASC is in, but spending a lot of time looking at the Locust model next to it, there's no point. they are SO SO similar, and I suspect they didn't know they'd get the ability to use the locust when they drew up the Flea design. It'd be cool, and hey, maybe they'll use mine as a start, but I still doubt it'd make financial sense, unfortunately.
Which is why I really wanted to make the Flea as well; they probably wont. So soon, probably in the next day or 2, I'll have a new thread for it and files up so people can print Fleas (please don't put them on your dogs).

Just wanted to pop-in an say, i really hope YOU'RE the guy that will end up doing the rescales, re-proportions or whatever is upcoming.
If anyone can fix the Quickdraw and other misproportioned 'mechs, that'll be you.

I'd almost have to say that this one looks *BETTER*, if only for the way the torso and head mounted lasers look (long "barrels" as opposed to ugly stubs the in-game model has)
