Great to see you back Gwyd! Are you still in touch with Raven and, ummm... crap it has been so long... who was the other guy who was around a lot, uhhhh...

Raven and Koolaid and Bigdaddy were the core, with me. Mack came along later and we had one or two other friends of Koolaid and Bigdaddy dropping with us every now and then. Unfortunately, though I did briefly get in touch with Raven and Koolaid (independently of each other) a few years ago, I am pretty sure I lost all of their contact information when I got a new computer afterwards.

KOOLAID! That was it. And Bigdaddy too, though Kool was definitely around more often. Oh man the memories. I miss the hell out of the old Basaku attrition server. It's where I first started to learn to shoot as a young noobling. That was over 10 years ago now... wow.

Yeah, long time ago. I remember you when your voice still hadn't dropped and VINNY a.k.a. Shredder was using you to duel potential HFH recruits to see if they were worthy of joining. We talked about a Basaku/HFH merger, but neither of us wanted to give up our tags. Basaku's Pad was the #1 Attrition server on Zonestats, people fled at the sight of the white Daishi, SL_Fuego was hacking, DOA, KbK, and wWw were the new kids on the block, everyone wanted to crack the mystery of the Shredder-mech (CUAC-5's), and the first official Microsoft patch for MW4 hadn't even been released. Black Knight and Mercs weren't even on the horizon of the horizon yet.

Yep, Koolaid. He brought me in to Basaku, it was he and Bigdaddy who started it. Raven came in shortly after me. Bigdaddy became a very sporadic player not too long after that.

10 years. Wow.

I was a 14-year-old nubber. I think the duels were mostly my idea, I lived for Daishi duels. I remember Trogzoar and I'm pretty sure (SL)Fuego was never hacking, he was just good.

I'm pretty sure I saw someone post in reference to L4C once, and it was probably in this section of the forums, though I can't find it using the search. You'll have to go digging :\

Hahaha, those videos were amazing. Look at me run show in that Supernova, what a pro . A few things that I noticed that made me laugh:
  • You repeated use of the word "gay" in caps lol
  • Pretty sure most of it was directed at Siku lol
  • Siku's kill streak
  • Me with the best K/D and top score :D
  • All of us just saying '**** it' and going for the legs on their stupid Ares
  • Their Ares pulling off a DFA on me and later on, you
  • USA pretty much throwing discipline out the window and just trying to rush us, only to make their score deficit worse
  • We pwn
Those were the best of times, I lived for that ****. I only wish the video quality was better so that it would be easier to make out everything we were saying.

You're probably right, but it makes me feel better to accuse him of it rather than accept that he was that accurate with his Gauss rifles. Some of the LD guys that used to hang on MedUSA's server were pretty good too. Fun times.

Here are the scores from that game and the other match in that series. The first game was the typical 2:1 beatdown. The second game was an outright massacre, approaching a 3:1 score. http://www.mechwarri...allengeid=15962

And we're gonna do it all over again.

I remember when Basaku made the migration to 2.0. We all started playing with the LD guys a lot. I remember Zaug, Mantra and Koth as well as some others. Zaug was in HFH for awhile after LD.

LOL, yeah, wishing I could rewind time a decade or so... Used to love rolling over team attrition players in Attrition with my Daishi =) Anyone remember Renegade Warriors? Used to alias (RW) iCe^BoX for a year or so before I went to {HFH}.. Was never a highly organized clan, or overly skilled at team attrition, but some were pretty decent.

Haha I forgot about Renegade Warriors  I was {RW} Death and a good friend of mine was {RW} War way back in Veng, no patch. We would play attrition but it was more like team attrition. I was near the top of zonestats for a couple quarters and I think I was still top 3 all time or some crap. God those were fun nights...

I remember Trogzor, Mantra, Fuego...Like GuassDragon said, Fuego he wasn't hacking, he was just super laggy

Haha, those were some mainstays of the attrition servers. Can't forget Odin too, I was always battling him for the top spot in attrition stats.

Just thought to give HFH an official "Howdy".
Good to see you getting back in the saddle.

Always good to see other MWL vets around. Not sure if we're reforming, still figuring things out.

Hahaha, lotta threads drift into obscurity on this forum. There are tons of old units to be found in here, but I've read 'em all.

I see you recognize TnG in your signature.. that was my unit wasn't it? Or did someone else make it after I left

The bad thing about Kaos, KE and HFH all being mercs.. we might not ever fight each other. :)

HFH doesn't have the numbers to be HFH. Gonna either roll with KE or KaoS. I gotta talk to spec, but he's still skeptical about the game, he's not sure if he's even going to play MWO considering Planetside 2 is coming out. I'll know more in a few weeks.
