I remember the chainer mech, it was really good on 2 or 3 maps and unbeatable on open ground 1 v 1. I remember Odin too. I remember I had to fight him constantly to beat him on the ratings if I wanted to keep top spot. He must have played every day all week. Nothing better than watching him try to fight the impact from the chain and fail. Thing I remember most about all of mechwarrior though.. besides the nhua 2 v 2 ... the image of GD running with his Sunder turret locked out at 90 degrees so he could cheat on the recoil. I also remember a match in coliseum where we were getting DESTROYED after mektek messed with the points per tonnage - then we had someone in a raven start constantly gimping their Timberwolf and we came back and won. Man that was an afterparty.

Yeah good times. I'll probably check back later with this game since they've updated it quite a bit. I just miss the old mechanics.

Shredder you still painting?

WHAZZZZUP- Yeah if looking out my second story windows counts as painting. BIz is good, also have an exteriors company that offer "synergy" with the painting co.

I never really moved on much after Vengeance. I can't really remember the expansion pack timeline(GD probably can quote the dates), but somewhere in there I played some team games with you guys, and I was pretty much out shortly after. I had top space on nh open servers for a couple of months on my way out so you must have dominated after that into the new packs, but my time available came to an end, we started this counseling biz, had a baby on the way and some new commercial real estate. It was pretty clear that with the new mods, maps you guys were starting to get into, and more team matches wasn't going to work at all. My wife calls that year the mechwarrior year, AKA the year I was "unavailable" It's all your fault!

I was telling GD I would search about once a year for tag names and just never find anyone. I lost all my contacts back around 2005. It's been awhile since i searched, and then over the weekend I searched HFH Shredder and here I am.

I'm not playing, but I only Need like 2100 posts to beat GD's message posting record. Something to aim for again.

If you guys every want to chat I'm in. I just want to make sure you have a good balance of gamer nerd/ to total coolness. haha

Being 14 at the time, I never really understood how people didn't have all the time in the world to play MechWarrior. When you're 14, commitment is a very elastic concept . Man I miss those days though.

Hahaha, when wasn't I forum wh ore. I guess you weren't around for the MWL days but I was a forum wh ore over there too. Once I get out of this cast the 3 of us can hop in some games for old times sa-WHAT IF MWO HAD AN ATTRITION MODE! THE GLORY DAYS OF HFH PLAYING ON THE BASAKU SERVER ALL OVER AGAIN! Sorry, just got a neo-nostalgia bon er there. KaoS has a teamspeak server that I can shoot you the details for and we can catch up.

Spin can personally visit each of them unexpectedly at home or work dressed in a low quality Mech outfit to really demonstrate his sincere love for the game....as he presents the invite- SURPRISE Koolaid! And for added impact, I recommend a 1.5 BAC. Don't forget to invite the RW guys. They won't think thats strange at all. I wonder how is his evil nemesis is Spin_hot is doing?

I'm down with the inebriation thing. Boy do I have some low points (read: great stories for my kids) about the wonders of drinking. Hell, alcohol is the reason my right hand is in a cast right now! It wouldn't be an attrition party without Fuego and Odin though. OH BTW, DID I MENTION ODIN JOINED HFH AROUND THE BEGINNING OF MERCS? He ended up becoming one of us in the end hahahaha.

Just living life. Hell, the only video game I've played in the last 6 years was FIFA. Is this game worth building a new PC for? I can't run it on my current one.
