Friendly bump for HFH ;)

Googling around I also remember being in -Vengeance Inc.- although I literally have no idea on the timeline of their existence or even what name I used...I just remember you, GD, always being around veng and mercs.

I remember TGS being an unpatched Vengeance clan primarily. Same with VK. The timeline is pretty hazy for me at this point too lol.

It's actually pretty weird so many of us stayed on unpatched veng for so long. How many people would actually do that in today's games? Haha

Lol today's games won't let you do that. They force you to patch up. Kind of a good thing, though, because it puts everyone into one frypan again instead of letting a ton of people who don't know there's a patch stay behind.

Here are the scores from that game and the other match in that series. The first game was the typical 2:1 beatdown. The second game was an outright massacre, approaching a 3:1 score. http://www.mechwarri...allengeid=15962

And we're gonna do it all over again.

I remember when Basaku made the migration to 2.0. We all started playing with the LD guys a lot. I remember Zaug, Mantra and Koth as well as some others. Zaug was in HFH for awhile after LD.

Zaug is my brother. I ran with Koth and Mantra for a long time as Hellkat in LD. After that Clan broke up I transformed into Ra (The ORIGINAL).I remeber those days well. I perfected the Shredder AC Daishi for Attrition during this time. Man, those were the good ole days...

As you can see by my sig, I've already thrown in with KaoS Legion since Bleek, Spectre and Crovax joined. We've been doing well, check the Beta Off Topic forums for information on the tournament (you guys are in it). What's Zaug's name on here btw? I'd love to catch up with him.

I am S H R E D D E R. First to build the perfect attrition no heat mech, but equally as important the chain pattern used to. I searched HFH SHREDDER and found this post. Gauss D wow- 10 years later. Amazing. I miss those days. I guess I'll read up here...maybe Spin Colds name will pop up too.

YEP. I read Gwydions posts with you from a ways back. Great Memories! I forgot I was " VINNY" in a couple of the Basaku matches. Great guys! I liked the mini history report he did. haha. FYI-No one ever cracked the S H R E D D E R mech until i finally started to share the config. The Saitek x35 flight controllers were perfect. I think Spin and you were first to know, but at that point I held my spot for so long, It didn't really matter who found out as endless games of attrition had lost interest.

A little known story- I spent many hours trying many different weapon configurations to get that set up. I would time myself against the computer to see how fast I could get kills and also how much damage I would take, finally after about 50 attempts I came up with that config, and reload chain.

I pretty much dropped out and life went on but every so often I remember the good times of mass destruction. Wheres Nomad in his tiny mech(loki)? haha...and ODIN-ahhh my arch enemy(haha)

I remember one time we made a fake attrition screen shot where it looked like I smoked every top player in a row and you had my mech sleeping zzzzzz. You were always ahead of your years man. I did smoke em all though! lol

The guy that got me in was HFH Doc_Oct never saw him after a few weeks of playing though.

Very cool you still have the passion. Your like an old wise man of Mech now.(in dog years)

Hey, I received a lot of wisdom from you man. We did some pretty great things with HFH in Mercs where we joined MWL (a league) and our star really started to rise. Hell, some o four biggest competition in MWL was KaoS and now I'm rolling with them. We've managed to become what is arguably the best clan in MWO but a lot of us stopped playing a few months ago because game balance got so ******. Might pick things back up again if this game gets better.

Whaddup BOSCO!

I remember the chainer mech, it was really good on 2 or 3 maps and unbeatable on open ground 1 v 1. I remember Odin too. I remember I had to fight him constantly to beat him on the ratings if I wanted to keep top spot. He must have played every day all week. Nothing better than watching him try to fight the impact from the chain and fail. Thing I remember most about all of mechwarrior though.. besides the nhua 2 v 2 ... the image of GD running with his Sunder turret locked out at 90 degrees so he could cheat on the recoil. I also remember a match in coliseum where we were getting DESTROYED after mektek messed with the points per tonnage - then we had someone in a raven start constantly gimping their Timberwolf and we came back and won. Man that was an afterparty.

Yeah good times. I'll probably check back later with this game since they've updated it quite a bit. I just miss the old mechanics.

Shredder you still painting?

Nope, don't know what you're talking about. Besides, I could recover just fine at non-perpendicular angles :)
