So. I guess I know where most of my funmoney will be going in the near future. MWO Marauders and Battletech kickstarter. :D

announces Marauder etc, everyone rejoices, forgets town hall

anyone have a shadow of a clue to why nothing really ever changes yet?

haven't listened to the TH yet.
Previous TH at least half the questions were idiotic to begin with....was this any different?

As for nothing changes...guess we are playing different games.

I may not like half the changes, but they have made changes.

shinny mechs?

Does that mean you bark your shin on them because you get distracted by their shininess?

While not the most informative TH ever by a mile(not surprisingly with how short it was), I felt there were several decent nuggets of information. The Anniversary info, the matchmaker info, brief CW3 update, answering a few common questions, talking a bit about the Rebalancing, and a lot about its timeline, Timeline jump questions, Steam launch questions and then obviously the Unseens and the Marauder. For an hour and a half with a fair bit of Russ rambling, there was still a fair bit of info.

I'm ready to pre-order. I shall have to see if a 15$ add-on hero is worth it.

One thing I'd like to ask - for my 40$, can I have 'Every Mech a Hero' with all variants getting a C-Bill boost?

Clalling it now, the Warhammer Hero is going to be Natasha Kerensky's "The Widowmaker".

*sigh* The "Widowmaker" was a Dire Wolf not a Warhammer please get your facts right, while it is true that "The Black Widow" loved to pilot her Warhammer the one she loved most was her Dire Wolf (Daishi) which had two different configs one a LRM version and the other one with the Ultra AC 20.

Yes I know I am a sad BT lore lover but I am right ;)

BUT BUT back to the frigging good news PGI TAKE ME BLOODY MONEY NOW!!!! and gimme the Rifleman as well pretty please, just think about this for a pack

Light Stinger or Wasp
Medium Phonix Hawk
Heavy Warhammer/Maruader/Archer/Rifleman
Assault Maruader II/Imp/Annihilator

They could ask whatever they want for that lot.

So...Bish.

We're totally cool for skipping the Warhumor and going straight to the Phoenix Hawk after they do the Marauder, right? I mean, the Sphere's got plenty of heavies, but we're awfully thin in the 45-ton weight bracket...

:P

Would love to see the info on that. I am a Btech nerd too, and don't recall that statement being made.

Also, after 30 plus years in a warhammer, it's more connected to her than the DWF which she piloted for 5 before dying at the controls.

No no, I meant I was shamelessly grabbing your attention by quoting something random so I could harass you about how Phoenix Hawks are much more necessary for this game than Warhumors. You're fine.

I didn't check all posts, but as always, I like to post some basic stats from Sarna and the mech editors (most can be seen in smurfy with the Orion anyway).

Marauder 75ton Heavy Inner Sphere Mech
Stock
STD 300 Engine = 64kph
Std internals = 7,5tons
Std armor 11,5 of 14,5tons = 79% (about 20% off sides and 45% off the legs)
Single Heatsinks 16x
Weapons tonnage 25t
Total Crits free 45

Upgraded to 10 DHS and Endo ->
Double Heatsinks 10x
Available weapons tonnage 34,5t
total crits free 35

Possible builds (with stock armor and stock engine and 10DHS):
4x PPC + 6DHS
6x LLaser + 4DHS / 5x LLaser + 9DHS
4x MPulse + 2x LBX10 +4t ammo
2x ERLL +4DHS + 2x ML + Gauss+3t ammo

This is a totally slap together job, but I feel that this would embody the name Marauder better.

Small cockpit, center line AC, straight arm cowls (not slanted), reduced air-intakes for less side torso exposure.

Posted Image

Legally speaking I don't know how it would fair, but that AC could be skewed more to the side torso, and a bit more cockpit could be revealed, and all of those intakes could be removed, I never really liked em on a mech that did not come with jump jets as standard anyway.
