Durr?

I just checked the M, it lost all its quirks.

I didnt check the "good" Orion, but I checked two and I was pretty sure they lost their quirks.

Meh. I've been having fun building mine lately. Still infinitely better than the Founders Catapult which I cannot get to work for the life of me.

Am I the only one who has no real interest in the sensor quirks? Compared to weapon quirks, agility, and durability, its like last on my list by far, but every mech has them.

I wish they could at least be interesting ones like an increased number of radar locks (red doritos). So, some mechs might get to hold 2-3 or more doritos at a time instead of just 1, I dunno.

I'm keeping an open mind until we see them in action.

In other news, now the Commie DK has -15% turn rate and -35% deceleration amongst its other quirks.

Errm, my Executioner's role is to be an agile assault with MASC and JJs, not a sensor mech, not a weapons platform. So... it gets sensor quirks and agility nerfs.

Do we need to see this in action? Any negative quirks to mechs that were already garbage deserve the triple facepalm treatment.

To be fair, you are right in a lot of ways. On the other hand remember this is still beta testing and if the unanimous consensus is that it isn't working for those mechs hopefully they listen, as they said they will. Hopefully.

I would really like to know what kind of strange specific formula PGI uses to figure out a mech's "powerlevel" for applying these new convoluted quirks.

Really, I hate negativ quirks. Balance about battle value, not over ****** quirks.

Its not the only mech. I would just sit and wait before making a opinion. Look at the whole picture in balance instead of just one mech.

Sure here and there the negative quirks are not very appealing but we should stop exeggerating. I want to test, test and test again before i form my final opinion and give feedback on it.

But it sure is strange, i agree.

Some hardpoints, a little speed, some max armor, a dash of toad tail, frog eye balls and cattle liver.

Divination is still a thing right?

Welp, after making educated guesses and running the numbers, I've basically discovered the biggest nerf to my Nova. Prime arms are losing their internal structure quirks, making them easier to break off. The B arm is also losing it's jam chance reduction, but torso twist quriks are being served like hot cakes.

Well hey, at least Mister Lang was right that it would be a "gamechanger."

Unfortunately, it might not be a positive one...

I believe that Russ said in the town hall that the power ratings are part of the new mech lab UI to display these quirks. Not how they were obtained, but at least what PGI rated the values at in each category.

Well that at least if true, gives us a place from which to understand some of their logic about what is good and terrible.

We may not know how they arrived at the numbers, but if theyre happy with them, it gives us a platform to start with. The lowest power rating mechs need the most love.
