Hey all new players! To commemorate the 2nd Anniversary release of MWO, they are giving away free stuff! If you have bought any MC you will get a free Cicada mech. If you have purchased any packages there are additional rewards. Check out this thread in announcements section
http://mwomercs.com/...ewards-program/

But there is one caveat! You have to have played 100 matches this year to qualify for the the Active Player reward! There is a link to email support in case you have any questions on how many matches you have played or whether you are eligible for any of the rewards.

So get out there and get playing!

EDIT: Due to some player feedback, they are altering the "Top Tier" reward for IS to include a full "Collector" pack purchase from BOTH the Urbanmech and new Marauder packs. The main page linked above was updated in the relevant section!

By the 6th of October, I imagine most new players will have had their 100th match already.

The intended audience for this advert are players who may have started in the last few weeks. Chances are good they might not have the 100 matches in less than a month if they only play 10-15 matches a weekend for example.

This is a great chance for all new players to grab some billz and mechs! Buying MC now is still an OK deal if you haven't yet, although it would've been a better deal during the MC sale.

Also, I have heard that the Urbanmech bundle doesn't qualify for the top tier rewards, just the package rewards. Just an FYI, but feel free to contact support if you have any questions. There is an email at the bottom of link in OP.

Hello all!
Very new player here, question on the 100 matches. When I look at my stats the win/loss number it is different then if I add up the individual Mech type per match number.
Is this because I went back to lab after dying instead of spectating to the finish?

Love the game, so should have 100 matches no problem, just wondering. Forum and links have been a immense help, thanks to all!

No, there are known issues with the Stats page. Take everything there with a grain of salt :). I'm not sure if it's an issue with how they update the webpage or whether the stats collection is accurate to begin with. Dropping from a match after you die still counts as a match played however, don't worry about that.

Generally, I'd advise using the Spectate ability to follow a player in a similar mech as the one you were using for beginners. This can help you to learn the maps and good techniques, but be aware you could easily be spectating a player just as new as you are as well!

Urban mech bundle does not qualify for top tier, on account of being 40 dollars only. While a top tier IS pack is 80, and a top tier clan pack is 90

As to knowing how many games you've played, don't bug support about it. I believe they will have a counter under your challenges under your profile. That's how they did it last year.

They don't have on right now. I actually don't think they will have one this time.

Could someone please explain what a 'top tier pack' is, as described in the upcoming loyalty rewards?
I 'assume' it means a whole pack of four mechs..?
The Origin (complete pack) would then comply for the Nova and Executioner, am I on the right track?
Thanks for your help o7

There are issues with the stats page, but reconnecting to already occuring matches and leaving matches before they finish will skew the stat page regardless of outcome. You get credit for it financially but the 'counts' can be rather off. (I should note it's also possible to have 793% accuracy with a laser weapon, so heh...heh... just take it with a grain of salt and play away, if you haven't already hit 100 matches you will easily do so if you knock out 5 matches a day).

The number isn't necessarily 4 mechs, for example the original Clan Invasion is 8 chassis (and if you want to get technical 24 mech variants in total). It is however all the mechs in a specific pack.
Example pack:
Posted Image
(Note the prices update to let you know if you buy one you can then upgrade for the "difference" in the original price to what you paid; as the overlord package was 80).

https://mwomercs.com/profile/preorders It will read as complete if you have a specific package in total.

Origin, as a Clan package, would give you a Nova for simply having any part of it. As a complete tier (buy the whole thing), and it would give you the Executioner config too. (Sorry, I'm too lore-rooted to recognize it as a 'variant', Omnimechs don't have variants in the traditional sense as there is only 'The Mech', it's a configuration of the mech.)

You're both welcome.

Top tier is currently defined as a "complete package consisting of, at minimum, 4 chassis and 12 variants." (For Clans this is 80 dollars minimum [Origins] or 120 dollars typical, with the Invasion [Wave I] being 240 [since it has 8 chassis, 24 variants].)

It is very true, however, that Urbanmech fails to meet the criteria for the definition.

One good way to figure this out, is to hope around quick and see what's left. (or open the team screen and see who is left) and see if you recognize anyone's name as popping up with kills. But honestly, sometimes its good to watch someone else screw up. At times it's easier to see someone else make the same mistake you did, and go,,. ohh yea, that was not smart. It can help as much as watching someone pwn.. Watching a guy over heat, not twist, and loose is a very telling lesson you should learn, and better to watch someone else learn it, than you :P

Ok, i got a Q about urban's Are they ever coming to C-bills? For some reason i could swear they said they weren't,. but then i thought they were, and now again i am not so sure as it has been a while by this point. If not, it's kinda tempting, as i do already own wolverines, but i am not sure if this new one will be one i must have! I will say last years AH was totally awesome, and the atlas, seems worth buying with c-bills anyway for atlas fans. Hard to go wrong with an ac-20 and 4 SRM's with energy to boot. The MC cicada seems like a winner already, so i'd be happy with one mech over all. But i am on the fence about the wolvie.

So are urbies coming to c-bills? If not, ya think this new wolvie is worth going for? I can kinda see an ac-10 with some missiles and being very fast.. Sorta a slightly lower powered, but faster AH of last year. Or maybe a LRM mech, with AC backup, it does have the head tag. Think of a Flanker/skirmisher, sorta like a heavy Treb. It seams like it could have potential..

thoughts?

Edit, the 20 dollar urbie package will get you the wolvie right?

As far as ala-cart goes, Would buying the single Clan nova C, (From the gift store, listed under New reinforcements) https://mwomercs.com/gifts It's listed as a 14 dollar nova, would that count, as good enough to get the Clan reward mech? That new skin looks pretty hot! :)

I've got a question too, if I purchase a $20 Resistance 2 package today, will I qualified for the Wolverine WVR-7D?

Same thing for the $30 Clan wave 3?

I don't think the Urbies are coming to C-Bills any time soon, if at all.

On the other hand, any tier of the urbie pack qualifies you for the wolverine.

A La Carte is only pack tiers, gift store single variants don't count. So for minimum participation to get the Nova-C, you'll want to buy a clan pack. Or just wait until it comes out for C-Bills somewhere around December/January (I'm guessing)

I think the wolverine will be a fun one. It's also the first IS MASC mech, so that's gonna be interesting to use, but in a nutshell, I think I'll use it for speedy AC 10 delivery.

Thanks for answer my questions, I think I will go for $20 ORIGINS IIC instead of wave 3, since it is $10 cheaper and cove with 3 more color in faction content - if that still count for the free Nova.

In that case, the only thing I miss... is the ECM on Hankyu.

I have been thinking of investing a little bit of money into this game and this event pushed me to do it. Bought some mc and picked up the $20 urban package.
