I would think you would be able to use them but would not be able to purchase any additional modules of the type until such time as you unlock them.

I'm thinking standard pack. .I don't like the colour of the collectors and it's a shame that it's not a unique variant.
You get two of the same model.
So tempted for the BH model...id be tempted to leave the weapons stock to begin with and see how they played...they may run a bit hot though.

In other news, could be a fun pop-tart: 2AC5s, 2ERPPCs, Jump Jets...

Thing will also be a ballistic hill-humper. Could be interesting.

And it will probably be better than the Mad Cat / Timber Wolf which was supposed to be a combination of the Marauder and Catapult and superior to both.

With the size of it's cockpit... I wonder if it will be able to equip the Command Console :D That would really up it as a sniper platform...

I was a Robotech RPG/Anime junkie as a kid which in part was what got me to start playing TT - so... yeah, bought the Officer's Pod this morning. Sending a prayer to the gods of geekdom for (in order):

Super Veritech
Excaliber
Gladiator
Armored Veritech
Raidar X
VF1 Valyrie/trainer
Spartan

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE have the skull and cross bones paint job available for the PHX, I will set an IV drip for my Credit card for ya...

Right. there's the top tier package done.

I'm particularly enthralled with a Laser Vomit variant; nor does the camo pattern seem that appealing.

All IS heavy and assault mechs can equip the 3ton Command Console :)

For the 3R(S) Version I will probably use my favorit loadout of the MAD-5S (Gauss, 2MPulse, 2ERPPC, XL300) nearly stock (more armor and ammo).

The 5D will probably be using a bunch of Lasers with 2x SRM6A and a big STD engine for brawling.
Or this build with XL350, 2x LL, 2x ML, 2x SRM6A and a PPC (add 2x ML to the smurfy build)

The 5M may go with the LBX and rest MPulse and high STD/XL engine + JJ for brawling, or some PPC/AC5 combo for sniping with JJets.

Did they change it? o.O I could have sworn only a few select variants in the game could. The Atlas D, the Catapult C1, one of the Battlemasters.... LOL, HG may let these re-imagined Unseen mechs slide, but I am sure they would take the gloves off if PGI made a Skull Squadron paint Job. Are you going to make an account with "Rick Hunter" as the pilot name?

After much theorycrafting, something I should have done with Resistance II :unsure:, I've decided this pack is worth it. Though I am a bit concerned about the Concept Art to game translation. Seeing as how most recently the Black Knight's cool PPC right arm drawn by Alex got turned into a simple mundane bolt on job, with under-mounts no less. Honestly... I don't know who messed up there, Alex or the modellers? Well, I mean... there is nothing like that Marauder barrel in MW:O right now, so who knows what it will actually end up looking like?

I really wish the Marauder IIC was released concurrently with this. I almost bought it today but I really have no reason for 4 new IS mechs. I will probably get Bounty Hunter when it's out though.

Let's get the rest of the IIC mechs out along with the inevitable rebalancing before they add the Marauder IIC.

It is in PGI's best interest to get the Marauder as close to the original as possible. I love my Battlemaster, but the MWO Battlemaster is only vaguely the Battlemaster that I remember:

It's kind of an iconic mech, and on paper it's a slightly better Orion. Without fierce quirks (which the devs seem reluctant to give these days) it will either be a mediocre to good mech, or another Inner Sphere tank (which would be inappropriate).

I am excited but reluctant.
