I personally don't like the Ballistic-Missile builds.
Way too ammo dependent.

For shorter wait times, DON'T play heavies!
Thank god I've just got all of my Jags mastered. & hey, this means I'll be able to actually pilot my Maulers.

No it's not. Both mechs have the same top speed, thus their base agility stats (including torso twist speed) are the same. That's how MWO does agility.
In fact, the TBR currently has some small agility negaquirks on the S torsos, meaning if you use one or both of them then the TBR will have a little bit less agility than the EBJ.

Hmm, you're right, it's probably the hitboxes that make it feel like I'm moving slower when torso turning.

Don't do it. At least wait until double basics...

I've done 1 gauss dual pulse 1 small build, all weapons in STs.
Strip the arms for more gauss ammo, and the small is a placeholder so that the pulses and gauss sync up perfectly on the higher mounts, I've gotten 600+ damage games most of the time when using that build.

Of course people won’t accept that
I could have sworn I got blown away by an EBJ with dual gauss

2x UAC10, 3x ERML
2x LPL, 4x ERML
1x GR, 5x ERML (6 is doable just keep in mind it is HOT)
7x MPL with 25DHS. Haven't tried this, but it could work.
The high shoulder mount can make something like a LBX20/UAC20 pretty interesting. I don't love it though TBH.

Max ammo one can take with EBJ dual gauss is 60, and that's sacrificing one arm's entire armor count.

UAC 10 with 4 smalls brawler 3 matches back before release of MC:
It's better to put the UACs in the arms for maximum utility in situations where you have to aim high with your arms.

EBJ-B comes with the stock omni pods to make the 2LPL-4ML build without changing any of them.
EBJ-A requires 1 omni pod change to make the gauss-6ML laser build. Will do 5 without changing.
The other 2 require multiple omnipod changes unless you want to run a ballistic-missle build on the C.
Thank you for the info!

^ EBJ that dreams of being a JM6 DD or a CTF 4X I pull off some crazy damage with this and both sides of the mech have enough firepower to finish someone after I lost a side.

^ 2LPL and 6 erML make this the TDR or CTF 1X wannabe

^ Dual Gauss.

^ Obligatory LRM boat with real backup weapons. You can also go 4 LRM15s but the missile shoulder is not as useful as the 3 energy one.
These aren't tier 1 builds, I don't subscribe to the meta but they should be adequate for anyone or give you the general idea.

This is my best attempt at a meta build^ All PPFLD

About 90% of what the TBR can do, the EBJ can do as well.
The EBj can and does run 3 U-A/C 5's better then the TBR...i dont even think it can run 3.
Also has no neg quirks on its Laser Vomit so take advantage of that. Can vomit just like the TBR but with no drawbacks....yet.
I also run the C with Dual U-A/C 5's in the arm, 2 LRM 5's (one in each Arm) and 2 LRM 15's (one in each torso). No one expects the LRM mech to close range and finish you off with Dakka.

It can but it only has 5 tons of free pod space to play with. The 2 tons of locked JJs required to run 3 UAC5 hurts it's ability to do it effectively.
EBJ on the other hand has 8 tons of free podspace to play with after the UACs.

You should.
Adder after quirks and CT flamer pull is a pretty nice mech now.
Either way, just bought my first today.
